Bill Maher called Jane Fonda one name that will put your jaw on the floor
Jane Fonda is the Queen of the leftists in Hollywood.
But recently Fonda got put to the test.
And Bill Maher called Jane Fonda one name that will put your jaw on the floor.
Jane Fonda pushes Green New Deal
Jane Fonda was the most recent guest on Bill Maher’s Club Random podcast.
Maher is one of the few remaining liberals and uses his show to push leftwing guests on why they let the Democrat Party drift so far out of the mainstream.
The latest target of Maher’s ire was the Green New Deal.
Fonda fell back into the well-worn talking points leftists cling to about the planet facing a climate crisis that required dramatic action.
“We’re facing a climate crisis, and according to science — I believe in paying attention to the science — we don’t have a lot of time to do something about it,” Fonda began.
Fonda then laid out the usual list of demands by leftist that would amount to the destruction of the American energy industry.
“Stop all new fossil fuel development, cut our emissions in half very quickly, and then gradually phase out,” Fonda added.
Maher responded by mocking Fonda as Americans are never going to accept banning gas powered cars or depending on expensive and inefficient wind and solar power sources.
“It’s never going to happen,” Maher replied. “It’s not just something humans are willing to do.”
Fonda claimed there was no other option.
“It’s got to happen or there will be no future for us,” Fonda shot back.
Liberal hypocrisy
Maher then sounded a familiar refrain he likes to use on leftists on a host of issues where he points out the Democrat Party elite don’t have to beat the consequences of the policies they support.
“Are you going to tell them, rich white lady, sorry — we used up all the air? … They’re going to go — f*** that,” Maher said of Fonda’s plan.
Fonda then started babbling about how Americans could send trillions in taxpayer money to third world countries to bribe them into adopting green energy alternatives.
Maher said his problem with Fonda’s plan was that it had no chance of ever getting passed so why bother debating it.
“I’m not opposed to your plan. I’m just saying it’s not a plan that will ever get passed, so why obsess about it?” Maher asked.
“You’re so cynical,” Fonda fired back.
Maher replied that Fonda wasn’t living in the real world.
“And you’re so naïve,” Maher stated.
Maher’s point about the naivete of the pro-Green New Deal left sounded a lot like a viral clip from the new Tyler Sheridan show Landman.
In the clip lead actor Billy Bob Thornton’s character explains the stupidity of the pro-Green New Deal Left and the calls to eliminate fossil fuels as a source of energy.
late to the rabbit hole on this one but thought I would make a thread based on my latest post somewhere else and the Landman scene from episode 3. /1 pic.twitter.com/TRYSNpxd75
