Joe Rogan mocks Oprah Winfrey’s speech at the Democrat Convention
Comedian Joe Rogan and his guest – former CIA officer Mike Baker – had a good laugh at the expense of the speeches at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast.
Rogan couldn’t believe that Oprah Winfrey got up on stage and attacked former President Donald Trump when the two were friends before he ran for President as a Republican.
“How about Oprah?” Rogan wondered out loud.
Rogan then referenced a handwritten note Oprah gave to Trump many years ago saying that if she ran as his Vice-Presidential nominee the two would “make a great team.”

Oprah disowned the letter in a 2023 interview.
“I might have thought it back then. I might have thought it 23 years ago,” Oprah told CBS. “I’m not thinking it today.”
The popular podcaster also thought it was preposterous that Oprah Winfrey – whose network is $3 billion – droned on about income inequality in America.
“Oprah was talking about her and Trump running together, and now she’s speaking to the DNC that he’s a threat to democracy and she’s up there talking about income inequality, like, ‘Hey lady — you’re rich as f**k!’ I’m like, ‘How is that equal?’” Rogan exclaimed.

Rogan also leveled the same charge of hypocrisy at former First Lady Michelle Obama for her convention speech.
Obama attacked Trump for “failing forward” and slammed him as greedy claiming her mother and father were “suspicious” of people “who took more than they needed.”
The Obamas’ net worth is now reportedly $70 million.
Former President Barack and Michelle Obama acquired generational wealth by monetizing the fact that he was President and not because the two possess any particular skill or talent.
Rogan thought it took great gall for someone as wealthy as Michelle Obama to claim Trump took more than he needed.
“Also when Michelle Obama was saying, you know, I think she was saying her mother or grandmother was always suspicious of people who took more than they needed, like, you are worth so much money. That’s so crazy. You did it on a civil servant’s salary which is insane,” Rogan added.
The convention and the anti-Trump speeches by the likes of Oprah and Michelle Obama failed to move the needle.
Polls showed that not only did Kamala Harris not get a bounce coming out of the convention, but that surveys in swing states like Pennsylvania and Michigan showed Trump moving ahead.
A Wick’s Insight poll of Pennsylvania showed Trump leading Kamala Harris by a point.
Polls from EPIC/MRA and Detroit News/Glengariff Group out of Michigan also showed Trump holding a one-point lead over Kamala Harris.
The Democrat Convention was supposed to propel her to a lead in the polls that would put her on a trajectory to win the election.
Instead, like Joe Rogan, the more voters saw of Kamala Harris and the Democrat Party, the less they liked.
