Voight's ailing mother stared up at the Kremlin and declared she was going in "just for the hell of it," catching their Russian interpreter completely off guard.

She met Boris Yeltsin himself and asked, half joking, if she could keep his Communist Party badge.

Voight met with Gavin Newsom in California to make his tax credit pitch directly, and when Newsom later tried to blame Trump for the anti-ICE riots tearing through Los Angeles, Voight fired back in public.

"All you do is cause chaos," Voight said. "You're a disgrace."

He hasn't forgotten Moscow.

He's applying it, decades later.

Hollywood has lectured America about compassion for decades while quietly worshipping every strongman from Havana to Caracas, and Voight is the guy in the room who actually walked through the wreckage those systems leave behind.
