Marco Rubio Finally Deleted the Playbook That Told Diplomats to Lecture the World On Gender Ideology

Joe Biden sent American diplomats overseas to lecture foreign governments on gender ideology.
Trump's State Department just found the paperwork proving it and threw the whole thing in the trash.
What one leaked document reveals about America's embassies should make every taxpayer furious.
The DEI Guidance That Turned U.S. Diplomats Into Activists
Fox News Digital obtained official Biden-era guideline documents showing the State Department directed personnel to push a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility agenda directly onto foreign governments.
One line from the document asks whether Front Offices "routinely raise social inclusion, racial/gender equity, disability, and LGBTQI+ issues" with foreign officials.
Read that again.
Biden bureaucrats wanted American diplomats picking gender fights with foreign governments specifically in the countries where those governments disagreed the most.
That's not diplomacy, that's activism wearing a State Department badge.
State Department Spokesperson Tommy Pigott didn't mince words when he confirmed the guidelines are gone for good.
Diplomats are now tasked with "advocating for our national interests," Pigott told Fox News Digital, "not demonstrating adherence to woke political dogmas."
Your State Department Promotion Depended On DEI Compliance
The most damning part of this story isn't the ideology, it's how Biden weaponized it against career diplomats.
Under the old guidelines, State Department leadership factored an employee's adherence to DEIA policies directly into performance reviews and promotion decisions.
Diplomats who wanted to move up the ranks had to prove they were sufficiently committed to the cause.
Offices without a "DEIA Council" of their own were expected to start one, and every employee was expected to support it once it existed.
Another section grilled employees on "allyship," demanding they speak up "in the moment" whenever a colleague displayed supposed bias.
Fox News Digital confirmed those DEI-based promotion criteria no longer exist anywhere in Trump's State Department.
Biden's LGBTQI+ Envoy Was Just the Beginning
This wasn't a rogue policy buried in some obscure office memo.
Biden even created a Special Envoy for LGBTQI+ Persons, a position with a mandate to put gender ideology at the center of American foreign policy worldwide.
That envoy spent years traveling to foreign capitals pushing the agenda on officials who had never asked for America's opinion on the subject.
The Heritage Foundation has documented how Biden's very first day in office set this machine in motion, when he signed executive orders instructing federal agencies to weave gender ideology and equity mandates into everything from personnel decisions to foreign grants.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken went as far as creating an entirely new Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer position just to keep the agenda humming along.
Rubio's State Department Ends DEI Ideology in the Foreign Service
Secretary of State Marco Rubio has spent this year systematically stripping out the ideological baggage his predecessors bolted onto American foreign policy.
New State Department rules now require foreign assistance to reject gender ideology and abortion promotion as tools of American diplomacy overseas.
That's a direct repudiation of everything Blinken's team built.
The State Department has framed this as part of a much bigger overhaul happening across Foggy Bottom, one that prioritizes merit and tangible diplomatic skills over ideological training.
Translation: diplomats are going back to representing American interests instead of exporting a domestic culture war to countries that never asked for it.
How Woke DEI Diplomacy Damaged America's Standing Abroad
Think about how this looked from the outside.
America's own diplomats were showing up in allied nations and hostile nations alike, pressing foreign officials on gender identity policy in the middle of serious bilateral talks about trade, security, and defense.
Countries in Africa, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe watched Washington prioritize a domestic ideological project over the actual business of American diplomacy for four straight years.
That's the kind of soft power squandering that doesn't show up in a headline the day it happens, but it shapes how seriously the world takes America at the negotiating table for years afterward.
Every dollar and every hour that went into "DEIA training" for Foreign Service officers was a dollar and an hour that didn't go toward securing American interests abroad.
This overhaul won't make front-page news in most of the mainstream press, because it doesn't fit their narrative that Trump's foreign policy team is somehow less serious than the one it replaced.
The truth is the opposite: American diplomats can finally get back to representing America instead of running a taxpayer-funded activism tour.
