RNC Chair Torched Ken Paxton’s Democrat Senate Opponent With the Kind of Nickname That Ends Political Careers

Ken Paxton just put a 28-point beating on RINO John Cornyn and ended his 24-year Senate career.
The ink wasn't dry before the RNC showed up with a name for the Democrat waiting for him.
If you haven't heard what Joe Gruters called James Talarico on live television yesterday morning, you need to.
Joe Gruters Just Gave James Talarico a Nickname That Will Follow Him All the Way to November
James Talarico stood on the Texas House floor in 2021 and told the whole state that God is non-binary.
Now he's the Democrat nominee for U.S. Senate – and the RNC just made sure no Texan forgets what he said.
RNC Chair Joe Gruters went on Newsmax Wednesday morning and handed Talarico a name he'll be wearing all the way to November.
When Wake Up America co-host Sharla McBride asked how Republicans plan to hold Texas red this fall, he went straight to the throat.
"We keep it red because Talarico is a creep," Gruters said. "He's a vegan. He thinks God is non-binary, he wants to mutilate children. He wants to put boys in girls locker rooms. People are done with that."
Then came the name: "Talafreako."
Gruters had already tested it on Fox News the night before.
Now it's official RNC policy.
Newsmax co-host Marc Lotter watched a clip of Talarico's greatest hits play on air and quipped, "You might as well put just a little disclaimer there, 'Paid for by the Republican National Committee.'"
That wasn't sarcasm. That was a preview.
The Clips Gruters Is Counting On
The RNC isn't inventing this.
Talarico said it on the record in 2021: "God is both masculine and feminine and everything in between. God is non-binary. Trans children are God's children, made in God's own image."
When it resurfaced after his primary win, he doubled down – telling a podcast the comment was "maybe provocative politically" but not controversial "theologically."
He's also argued on camera that there are six biological sexes and that sex is "a spectrum."
On the vegan question, Talarico denied it this week.
Whether he himself is a vegan is beside the point, he thinks reducing meat consumption is good because of climate change.

On a potentially related note – it’s weird the Democrat candidate for US Senator in the Lone Star State is running a “non-meat campaign” as a meat allergy is being spread by Lone Star tick bites with boxes of the vermin allegedly being dropped near ranches.

Talarico confirmed support for trans surgeries on minors – and in Texas, where the legislature banned that procedure for kids, that's not a nuance.
That's a closing argument.
This Is the Race the Left Was Counting On
Talarico beat Jasmine Crockett in the Democratic primary by running as a moderate with "bipartisan appeal."
That pitch lasted exactly as long as no one looked up his old floor speeches.
Gruters looked them up.
Now Ken Paxton – armed with a Trump endorsement and a 28-point primary demolition of RINO gun grabber John Cornyn – walks into November against a candidate on record saying God is non-binary, and the DNC's own 2024 autopsy confirms that Talarico's brand of progressive theology is exactly what cost Democrats the last election.
Texas hasn't sent a Democrat to the Senate since 1988.
Democrats needed a candidate who could make Texans forget what the party actually believes.
They nominated the one guy who said it out loud on the House floor – and the RNC just made sure your neighbors see the clip.
