Joe Biden tells Kamala Harris she has a future in politics
Joe Biden addressed a friendly crowd at the Democratic National Committee’s Holiday Reception hosted at the Willard Hotel in Washington, D.C.
This was a rare public appearance for Biden, as his handlers kept him under wraps after Biden ended his Presidential campaign on July 21.
Biden’s handlers felt comfortable putting Biden out in public because this was the friendliest crowd possible and all Biden had to do was read a teleprompter.
At the event, Biden left Democrats groaning with his effusive praise for Kamala Harris.
“Well, look, it’s also been an incredible honor to serve with someone of immense character that she demonstrated through her entire career: Kamala Harris,” Biden stated.
Biden also spoke of Kamala in the present and future tense.
“I knew what I was doing when I asked her to be my vice president. I knew her. I knew of her. I knew about her. I knew her record. I trusted her. She always served this country with purpose and integrity, and she always will,” Biden added.
Biden then predicted that Kamala Harris would remain a force in the Democrat Party.
“And you’re not going anywhere, kid, because we’re not going to let you go. You’re not going anywhere,” Biden declared.
Kamala Harris’ murky future
Joe Biden, Barack Obama, and Nancy Pelosi knew Kamala Harris was a weak candidate that stood no chance of beating Donald Trump.
That’s why Biden fought so long to stay in the race while Pelosi and Obama pushed for an open process once Biden quit.
Kamala Harris proved every bit the incompetent that Pelosi, Obama, and Biden feared when she couldn’t answer simple questions such as what she would do differently than Joe Biden.
But even though Kamala Harris lost in landslide fashion, the party isn’t blaming her for the defeat.
Biden is talking up her future.
And Kamala Harris is considering forcing Democrats to face their nightmare scenario by running for President again in 2028.
Kamala is debating a third White House campaign or running for Governor of California.
“Top aides and people close to Kamala Harris have divided over whether she should head home to run for California governor in 2026 — and it all comes down to whether they believe she could win the Democratic nomination for president in an expected competitive primary in 2028,” CNN exclusively reported.
If Kamala Harris runs for President, she will face challenges from Governors Gavin Newsom (D-CA), Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI), J.B. Pritzker (D-IL), and Wes Moore (D-MD).
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez may also run.
And Democrats would surely like to avoid a situation where Kamala Harris runs and loses in embarrassing fashion to serve as the final act of her career.
