Elon Musk was raising hell after he was handed a report on taxpayer-funded magic
The federal government’s budget has gotten completely out of hand.
Bureaucrats are wasting taxpayer money on the unimaginable.
And Elon Musk was raising hell after he was handed a report on taxpayer-funded magic.
Rand Paul sends Vivek Ramaswamy and Elon Musk a shocking list of government waste
The federal government has wasted taxpayer money for decades in the most horrifying ways possible.
Department of Defense officials were buying hammers for $400 a piece in the 1980s.
The National Institutes of Health spent $3 million watching hamsters fight on steroids.
U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) chronicles some of the worst wasteful spending by the federal government every year with his annual “Festivus Report.”
Paul has been working with SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy on the newly created Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
DOGE is tasked by President-elect Donald Trump to find wasteful spending in the federal government’s bloated budget to cut.
Paul told Fox News host Sean Hannity that he speaks with DOGE “weekly” about wasteful spending like “taxpayer-funded magic” and “ice skating drag queens.”
“We will talk about electric charging stations, electric cars, but we’ll also be talking about government funding for ice skating drag queens,” Paul explained. “We’ll be talking about taxpayer-funded magic.”
Hannity was flabbergasted at the bombshell Paul dropped.
“Slow down,” Hannity said. “Let me stop you there. Ice skating — Alright, how much money are we spending on the ice skating drag queens?”
The Kentucky lawmaker uncovered staggering amounts of government waste with his Festivus reports.
“I can tell you the total will be in the hundreds of billions for the entire Festivus report,” Paul stated. “I don’t have the breakdown on each individual one, but I can tell you that there are millions of dollars being spent on magic. I can tell you that. Also going to be some money for the southern border, but not the southern border of the United States, for the southern border of Paraguay.”
The federal government is lighting money on fire
Paul revealed that he’s sent more than 2,000 pages of wasteful government spending he’s uncovered to Musk and Ramaswamy.
“I’m helping Doge. I talk to Vivek weekly,” Paul stated. “I’ve sent him 2000 pages of waste that we’ve already discovered.”
He explained that much of the money the federal government wastes every year is from taxpayer-funded grants for research and studies.
Paul revealed a bizarre study that was funded by the federal government to study the love life of Japanese quails.
“One of my favorites was when they decided that they would spend a million dollars studying what would happen to Japanese quail–are they more sexually promiscuous when you give them cocaine,” Paul said. “This is stuff… you can’t make it up.”
Researchers at the University of Kentucky who conducted the more than $200,000 experiment have defended it.
The federal government has no intention of being a good steward of taxpayer money.
Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy are going to have a target-rich environment for finding spending cuts in the federal budget.
