Tucker Carlson revealed this was the worst mistake of his life
Tucker Carlson has been in the public eye as a member of conservative media for nearly 30 years.
There are some secrets Carlson didn’t want to share.
And Tucker Carlson revealed this was the worst mistake of his life.
Tucker Carlson praises Joe Rogan as one of the great innovators
Carlson could not have been more effusive in his praise of podcaster Joe Rogan stating Rogan was a once in a lifetime genius that invented a new genre of media.
Rogan started out as a comedian, actor, game show host, and UFC commentator.
But Carlson said Rogan pioneered the art of podcasting.
“Rogan created the genre of podcasting. I’ve been in the media my whole life. Rogan used to be a sitcom actor, a standup comedian, and an MMA fighter. So he starts this thing called a podcast where he talks for like three hours. I’m in television at a big network and I thought it was dumb. No one is going to listen to a three-hour podcast from some MMA fighter?” Carlson began.
Carlson said he initially looked down his nose at Rogan from high atop his perch of highly rated cable news anchors.
Rogan proved Carlson wrong in spades as Rogan’s show draws nearly three times the audience Carlson did at the peak of his popularity at Fox News.
Carlson put Rogan in the class of innovators such as Johannes Gutenberg, the German goldsmith who invented the printing press around 1440.
“I know, right? And this guy’s not even in our business! What’s he doing? He completely changed not only American media but also American history. He created a whole new genre — it would be like if one guy invented the newspaper or television, that’s how big what he did was,” Carlson added.
Carlson said Rogan and his fellow podcasters are now the source of information for the public.
“And I will admit I did not see it coming, I did not understand it, I did not think it would work. And the fact that it did work says something so great and important about Americans. Rogan proved that Americans really want to learn. They’re not learning in school, they’re not learning in the rest of the media,” Carlson continued.
Statista found 41 percent of Americans aged 18 to 29 report getting their news from podcasts.
Carlson explained Rogan’s power derived from the format of his show where he just converses with someone for three hours and the audience gets to know the guest as a human being.
“It’s all shallow and dumb, about race and gender, it’s all lying. And Rogan is just willing to just sit there with interesting people and talk for three hours. That was the most affirming, reassuring thing I’ve seen in 35 years of media — that that worked. I’m thrilled and proud to be Rogan’s friend. I admire him more than anybody in media — by far,” Carlson concluded.
The 2024 election proved Rogan’s power.
Donal Trump showed up in Rogan’s podcast and 45,000,000 people watched it on YouTube.
Kamala Harris refused to show up on Rogan’s show.
And Kamala Harris’ handlers now know that was a major mistake as evidenced by the fact that her team leaked three different explanations as to why she passed on doing Rogan’s show.
