Tim Walz said six words to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez that gave Kamala buyer’s remorse
Tim Walz continues to flounder on the campaign trail.
He hasn’t helped Kamala Harris one iota since joining the ticket.
And Tim Walz said six words to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez that gave Kamala buyer’s remorse.
Tim Walz’s football folly
Vice President Kamala Harris picked Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate because of his biography.
As an old white guy from the Midwest who served in the National Guard and coached high school football, Walz gave off the vibe of an inoffensive moderate to balance out a ticket led by a San Francisco socialist.
But as soon as Kamala named Walz as her running mate problems appeared.
He lied about deploying to combat and it came out that he quit on his troops to avoid deployment to Iraq while also lying about the rank he retired with from the Minnesota National Guard.
Walz even misled about his coaching career by giving off the impression he was the head coach of the state championship-winning team when in reality he was an assistant.
That football background game back to haunt Walz when he livestreamed himself playing the Madden video game against Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
Democrats want to attract male voters.
Kamala Harris’ handlers thought sending out Walz to play the most popular football video game franchise in history against Ocasio-Cortez livestreamed via Twitch would be a good look.
Whoever set up this event clearly was no football fan as Walz and Ocasio-Cortez scheduled their online game for the middle of an NFL Sunday when all the voters they hoped to attract were watching real football.
If that was the extent of the blunder, no one would have noticed.
But Walz looked like a fool with a post on X featuring a screenshot of the game and complimenting Ocasio-Cortez on how she “could run a mean pick 6” on defense.
A “pick 6” is not a defense you run in football.
It’s a play the defense makes.
A “pick 6” is a football term for when a quarterback throws an interception that the defense runs back for a touchdown.
The Kamala Harris campaign deleted the football-illiterate post after users roasted Walz on social media.
“This was a real deleted tweet from alleged football coach Tampon Tim. ‘Can run a mean pick 6’ Lmfao,” commentator Greg Price wrote.
“This was a real deleted tweet from alleged football coach Tampon Tim. ‘Can run a mean pick 6’ Lmfao,” the Trump War Room account posted in response.
“I’m not sure Kamala ever worked at McDonald’s and now I’m unsure if Walz ever coached football,” another user joked.
Walz’s time on the national stage is nothing but a run of bad headlines.
If his lies about his background aren’t in the news, he’s getting mocked on social media for the bizarre gesticulations of his hands.
Walz is a walking meme.
But not in a good way.
