The Supreme Court continues to haunt the Democrat Party.

The challenges Democrats face aren’t getting any easier.

And Kamala Harris just got hit with the worst news about the Supreme Court.

Republican Senate hopefuls refuse to commit to scheduling a vote on a Kamala Harris Supreme Court pick

RINO Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) announced this would be his last term heading up the GOP Senate caucus.

Conservatives cheered that announcement as McConnell’s 17 years as Republican leader saw him surrender to Democrats at every turn.

The two declared hopefuls are also giant RINOs like McConnell – U.S. Senators John Thune (R-SD) and John Cornyn (R-TX).

Thune is a reliable vote for Ukraine funding and Cornyn wrote President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ gun control bill as well as supports amnesty for illegal aliens.

Republicans only need to flip two seats to win the Senate.

The GOP leads in the Montana and West Virginia Senate races for seats currently held by Democrats.

Democrats don’t lead in any race featuring an incumbent Republican Senator.

With Republicans on track to win a Senate majority, CNN’s Manu Raj asked both Cornyn and Thune if they would commit to scheduling a vote on whoever a potential President Kamala Harris nominated to the Supreme Court.

Both claimed that any vote a GOP Senate would hold on a Kamala Harris Supreme Court nominee would depend on who the nominee was and who they were replacing.

“It depends,” Cornyn replied. “Obviously, they would have to go through the committee process, and so it would depend on that. And then I think it would also depend on who the president nominates.”

“If I’m in a position to make the decision, I’m not going to schedule a vote on some wild-eyed radical nominee, which I know she would love to nominate. But that would be my intention,” Cornyn continued.

“We’ll cross the bridge when we come to it,” Thune added. “But, you know, it probably depends on who it is and that’s the advantage of having a Republican Senate.”

Can Republicans trust Thune and Cornyn?

Thune and Cornyn are running for GOP Senate leader.

Both need the support of conservatives to win the job.

Their tact on the Supreme Court appeared to be that if Kamala nominates a replacement for a Democrat justice, then she will have to negotiate that appointment with a Republican Senate meaning the pick would have to be a moderate – if such a thing even exists in the current Democrat Party.

But the two oldest members of the court are Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito.

Those would be the justices Kamala is most likely to replace.

Thune and Cornyn would have pressure to blockade a vote on any replacement of a conservative by a liberal until the 2028 Election in the hopes that the eventual Republican nominee could win the election and fill that seat.

However, Thune and Cornyn are RINOs.

And they never fight to win.
