It says a lot about the modern Left that liberal comedian Bill Maher is now the voice of reason.

But he has a lot he wants to get off his chest.

And now Bill Maher made a prediction about Donald Trump that frightens Democrats.

Bill Maher warns Democrats about the staying power of Trumpism

Comedian Bill Maher is on record predicting that Vice President Kamala Harris will win the election in November.

But he doesn’t think that if former President Donald Trump loses it spells the end of his movement.

Maher interviewed psychologist Jordan Peterson for his Club Random podcast and told him that Democrats shouldn’t be popping the champagne corks because “Trumpism” was here to stay.

“I also understand that Trump, I think, will go away after this. I think he’s kind of finally reached his Joe McCarthy stage where people are tired of it. It just took longer, but Trumpism won’t go away,” Maher stated.

Maher argued that the ideological underpinnings of the Trump movement were opposition to the hard Left turn the Democrat Party took at the end of the Obama years called the “great awokening.”

The “great awokening” began with the 2014 Black Lives Matter riots in Ferguson, Missouri, continued with the “stunning and brave” Vogue cover for Caitlyn Jenner, and swept across college campuses as trigger warnings and microaggressions became all the rage.

Maher told Peterson that fear of this “insanity” was well grounded and predicted that as long as the Left tolerated it then Trumpism would be here to stay.

“I would define Trumpism as a fear of the insanity of the far Left, which is not completely unjustified, and therefore, anyone is better than that. Trump proves it because he is that ‘anyone.’ If Trump is okay, if he, in all his monstrosity, is still better than what you fear with the Left, that’s a problem the Left has to deal with,” Maher declared.

Maher said Republican voters would just find another Trump to campaign against the excesses of the Left until they found a way to curtail woke ideology.

“They will find another Trump,” Maher continued, “Until you take care of that problem they will always come up with a Trump.”

The Left runs amok

Maher mentioned to Peterson that one of the current crazes on the Left that would empower Trumpism was the ascension of the pro-Hamas caucus on college campuses.

Cornell University recently reinstated history professor Russell Rickford.

At a rally following the October 7 terrorist attack where Hamas terrorists slaughtered 1,200 innocent people, Rickford praised the attack declaring that “Hamas has challenged the monopoly of violence” adding that the attack “shifted the balance of power,” and describing the attack declared, “It was exhilarating. It was energizing.”

Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate Minnesota Governor Tim Walz now live in fear of offending the pro-terrorist mobs on college campuses.

And as long as this mentality exists, Bill Maher believes Trumpism will gain in strength.
