Sean Hannity thought he had heard it all.

But even he still gets taken by surprise.

And Sean Hannity burst out laughing over this joke about Karine Jean-Pierre.

Ted Cruz mocks CNN as an appendage of the Democratic National Committee

Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz sat for a grand total of one interview.

Former President Donald Trump and U.S. Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) have sat for 38 interviews.

The lone interview Kamala Harris and Walz had took place on CNN where fan girl Dana Bash could barely contain how star-struck she was to interview the Democrat ticket.

U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) appeared on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show and claimed no one would have been able to tell the difference if CNN swapped in White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre to conduct the interview.

“How would those interview questions have been different if the ‘interview’ was conducted by Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House Press Secretary? Everything Dana Bash said is exactly what Kamala Harris’ campaign wanted her to say,” Cruz began.

At this point, Hannity began laughing as Cruz mocked the deferential nature of Bash’s questions and how she framed her inquiries to guide Kamala to the most politically helpful answer.

“It was, ‘Madame Vice President: ‘Tell us how you will help jobs. Madame Vice President.’ ‘Tell us all the wonderful things you will do to secure the border. Madam Vice President.’ Tell us, do you like kittens more or do you like puppies more? And Madam Vice President, let me close with showing an image of your grandniece gazing adoringly on you. You are a historic transformational figure. Oh, let me clutch my heart,’” Cruz added.

Cruz ridiculed CNN as a “complete laughing stock” and a “wholly-owned subsidiary of the DNC [Democratic National Committee].”

“That is theoretically a journalist? CNN, the entire endeavor is literally a wholly-owned subsidiary of the DNC and it was a complete laughingstock what they did,” Cruz concluded.

CNN’s present and future

CNN is beginning to re-embrace its positioning as a Democrat Party media company.

The network announced it rehired left-wing activist Brian Stelter to serve as CNN’s chief media correspondent.

On primetime panels, CNN usually features a lineup of multiple Democrat guests with only a single conservative, Scott Jennings, on-air.

Even the audience is in on the joke.

Late-night comedian Stephen Colbert’s audience laughed uproariously when he told CNN host Kaitlan Collins that CNN was an objective news network.

The media coverage in the 2024 Election is one of the biggest stories of the election cycle.

The Media Research Center found that in the first month of her campaign, press outlets showered Kamala with 84 percent positive coverage.

In that same time frame, the media bombarded Donald Trump with 89 percent negative stories.

Ted Cruz was right that CNN operates as an adjunct of the Democrat Party.

But he could have expanded that characterization to the rest of the media.
