Even as people cringe at the thought of a second term with Joe Biden, they’re even more wary of the idea of a Kamala Harris Presidency.
The awkward Vice President just doesn’t connect with the American people and has plenty of cringe-worthy moments herself.
And now, Kamala Harris just managed to give everyone the ick after making an appearance on this cable TV network.
Kamala Harris mocked for BET Awards appearance
Vice President Kamala Harris made a pre-taped appearance on the BET Awards where she discussed politics with host Taraji P. Henson.
However, the whole thing was slammed as Harris got mocked for her “cringe,” “pandering,” and “fake” behavior.
Some people said that Harris put on a faux “blackcent” so she could seem more relatable to black voters.
Yet those very same voters are starting to abandon the Biden-Harris ticket in increasing numbers.
At one point, Harris said, “Yeah girl, I’m out here in these streets….”
She also said, “These extremists, as they say, they not like us,” referring to what most people believe are Trump supporters.
The “not like us” comment was also a nod to rapper Kendrick Lamar’s diss track of the same title.
The Vice President used her appearance on the BET Awards to try and garner support from black voters as President Joe Biden faces an uphill battle after his recent debate performance.
She also spent time talking about issues like abortion and LGBTQ concerns, but the majority of people are more concerned about the economy.
The economy is a hot topic as Americans face high consumer prices, high interest rates, and record inflation while their wallets continue to tighten.
The price of goods and services has skyrocketed to record highs for items like rent, mortgages, insurance, energy, and groceries during the Biden-Harris administration.
Those high costs are causing black support for Biden to plummet.
According to Breitbart News, Biden has seen a 28 percent decline in black voter support based on an I&I/TIPP poll conducted in May.
Not a good look for the Vice President
After Harris’ appearance, she was met with widespread mockery and jokes online.
Even Tesla CEO Elon Musk chimed in on her appearance, posting that it was a “toenail curling level of cringe” on his social media platform X.
“Kamala panders at BET awards and the reviews are not positive. Black Americans are embarrassed by Kamala,” posted Citizen Free Press.
The non-satirical wing of the Babylon Bee, Not the Bee, posted, “Kamala popped into the BET Awards to prove that she has rizz but ended up reaching NEW LEVELS OF CRINGE.”
X user CJ Pearson noted, “Out here in these streets? You have a security detail???? You live in the Naval Observatory??? This is disgusting.”
Another X user named Alaina Nicole posted, “Lmao we haven’t heard from Kamala in dang near 4 years and now she wants to pander to us on the BET Awards?!” with some crying emojis behind it.
