Lawmakers returned to chaos in Washington, D.C.’s “Swamp” after the debate.

Democrat leaders were hoping to spend the day figuring out a solution to their Joe Biden problem.

But then Joe Biden sent Congressional Democrats into chaos with this jaw-dropping letter.

Joe Biden defiant in the face of calls to step down

With the clock ticking until the November elections, President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline has Democrats in panic mode.

Polls have been showing that the overwhelming majority of Americans believe he’s too old to serve a second term in the White House.

Biden’s handlers limited his public exposure and refused to allow him to sit down for unscripted interviews with the press.

Meanwhile, Democrats and the left-wing media continuously told Americans that he was fine and their concerns were not based on reality.

But their phony narrative came crashing down during the first debate where even CNN’s rigged rules were not enough to hide Biden’s cognitive decline from the American people.

Many Democrats and left-wing members of the press immediately turned on him and called on him to step aside and bow out of the Presidential race.

But Biden rejected their demands and vowed to prove that he was mentally sharp through more interviews and campaign rallies.

He appeared at a couple of events and sat down for a short 22-minute interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos.

But his brief campaign speeches and a short interview with ABC failed to ease concerns among Democrats about his senility.

Joe Biden pushes back against Congressional Democrats

Joe Biden called into MSNBC’s Morning Joe where he ripped his fellow Democrats for calling on him to step aside.

“They’re big names, but I don’t care what those big names think,” Biden said in reference to calls for him to step aside from Democrat leaders.

But Democrat lawmakers also found a long letter from Biden in their mailbox when they returned to work on Monday.

“President Joe Biden, in a letter to congressional Democrats, stood firm against calls for him to drop his candidacy and called for an end to the intraparty drama that has torn apart Democrats since his dismal public debate performance,” AP reported. “Biden’s efforts to shore up a deeply anxious Democratic Party came Monday as lawmakers returned to Washington confronting a choice: Decide whether to work to revive his campaign or try to edge out the party leader, a make-or-break time for his reelection and their own political futures.”

In the letter, Biden doubled down on his decision to remain in the race.

“Now that you have returned from the July 4th recess, I want you to know that despite all the speculation in the press and elsewhere, I am firmly committed to staying in this race, to running this race to the end, and to beating Donald Trump,” Biden wrote.  “I wouldn’t be running again if I did not absolutely believe I was the best person to beat Donald Trump in 2024.”

Biden then spent two full pages trying to sell Democrat lawmakers on his record in office like they were swing voters.

“The question of how to move forward has been well-aired for over a week now,” Biden wrote. “And it’s time for it to end.”

“Any weakening of resolve or lack of clarity about the task ahead only helps Trump and hurts us,” Biden declared. “It is time to come together, move forward as a unified party, and defeat Donald Trump.”

Joe Biden’s refusal to drop out of the race is about to set off a major Democrat civil war at the worst possible time.
