Kamala Harris proposes Soviet-style price controls
For decades, Americans mocked dictator Joe Stalin’s Soviet Union and the fabled “five-year plans” that always produced much less food than the communist government predicted.
Now the Soviet Union’s government rationed food system is coming to America.
Vice President Kamala Harris is set to make her first big speech on her economic agenda for America and to combat the surging prices she caused by casting the tie-breaking vote on President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion inflation bill.
The centerpiece of the Kamala economic agenda is price controls.
“Harris plans to direct the Federal Trade Commission and other agencies to investigate and penalize ‘big corporations’ that violate the rules, and to find other ways of tackling price fixing and other anti-competitive practices in the food and grocery industries, her campaign said late Wednesday night,” Time Magazine reports.
Price controls only lead to one thing: shortages.
That’s because the law of supply and demand is ironclad and undefeated.
If the government sets a price control that’s below market rate, demand will surge.
But supplies won’t be able to meet demand because the profit margin vanished thanks to the price cap.
Critics mocked this scheme as appalling economic illiteracy.

Kamala Harris targets the meat industry
Kamala doesn’t just want to limit the supply of food.
She also wants to target meat producers.
“Harris, in her speech, will specifically single out the highly consolidated meat industry, deeming its processing middlemen ‘particularly egregious’ price fixers with a history of being found to have illegally controlled prices,” Time Magazine also reports.
This is no happy accident.
Kamala seeking to impose price control that results in shortages of meat and unleashing her regulators and meat producers is part of her long-held goal to limit the ability of Americans to eat hamburgers and other meat products.
In her 2020 Presidential campaign, Harris supported a ban on red meat consumption to combat climate change.

Democrats claim cow farts cause climate change.
Price controls and regulatory attacks on meat producers resulting in Americans eating less beef means the need for cows which will result in fewer cow farts and thus less climate change.
That’s the logic Democrats follow.
Kamala Harris is playing right along with this backdoor ban on meat products.
