Joe Biden announces new gun grab to ban private sales of firearms

Banning private sales of firearms is the Holy Grail of gun grabbers.

Fathers have been passing down firearms to their children and friends have been selling firearms to one another since the founding of the republic.

President Joe Biden wants to end all that.

His administration announced a new regulation to require every American to prove they aren’t making a profit on a firearm sale or force whoever is buying the firearm to undergo a background check before completing the transaction.

Biden boasted about his regulation to create a national gun registration database.  

“This is going to keep guns out of the hands of domestic abusers and felons. And my Administration is going to continue to do everything we possibly can to save lives. Congress needs to finish the job and pass universal background checks legislation now,” Biden crowed.

Biden’s underlings celebrate

The Biden officials charged with weaponizing the government against Trump supporters also couldn’t contain their glee.

“The Bipartisan Safer Communities Act was passed by Congress to reduce gun violence, including by expanding the background checks that keep guns out of the hands of criminals. This proposed rule implements Congress’s mandate to expand the definition of who must obtain a license and conduct a background check before selling firearms,” Attorney General Merrick Garland said of the proposed new rule.

“This new proposed rule would clarify the circumstances in which a person is ‘engaged in the business’ of dealing in firearms, and thus required to obtain a license and follow the laws Congress has established for firearms dealers,” Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms director Steve Dettelbach declared.

Democrats know they could never get a ban on private sales through Congress.

Pro-Second Amendment conservatives have rejected that un-American scheme every time.

But Biden came up with a novel approach.

Instead of a ban on private sales, the administration would create rules rendering private sales so onerous that no one would ever bother anymore.

This regulation will surely be challenged in court.

And America’s pro-gun majority is hoping the Constitution and sanity win out.
