Democrats made former President Donald Trump enemy number one of their party and they’re hoping their message of defeating him at any cost will get Kamala Harris and Tim Walz to the White House.

But one top Democrat is having second thoughts.

And Donald Trump forced a confession out of this vulnerable Democrat that left Chuck Schumer sick to his stomach.

Senate’s most endangered Democrat endorses refuses to make Presidential endorsement

Vulnerable Democrats are trying to hold on for dear life this year.

That’s forcing some to make drastic decisions to survive.

U.S. Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) is the most vulnerable Senate Democrat up for re-election this year.

The Montana Senate race is expected to determine which party controls the Senate.

He’s been able to escape the political gravity of increasingly Republican Montana but there are signs it’s finally catching up to him.

Former President Donald Trump will be at the top of the ticket this year after he won the state by 20 points in the 2016 Election and 16 points in 2020.

Tester has been taking the actions of a candidate who’s scared for his political life.

He skipped the Democratic National Convention and declined to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris for President.

“I’m not going to endorse for the presidential and I will tell you why, because two reasons,” Tester said during a press conference. “No. 1, I’m focused on my race. And No. 2, folks want to nationalize this race, and this isn’t about national politics, this is about Montana. It’s about making sure we have a Montanan back in Washington, D.C., representing Montana values. And so that’s why.”

Tester acts like a moderate in Montana but voted for every one of former President Barack Obama and President Joe Biden’s top political priorities in Washington, D.C.

He’s terrified of being connected to national Democrats and being held accountable for his voting record.

Jon Tester’s fake moderate act is coming to an end

Tester suggested that beating Trump was more important than his race at another press conference hours earlier.

“Mine isn’t the important one, it’s the one at the top,” Tester said. “There’s a lot at stake here. There’s democracy at stake. There’s rural America at stake. There’s how we treat one another at stake. There’s a lot at stake in how this country’s going to move forward.”

He’s made no secret how much he dislikes Trump over the years including saying Democrats need to punch him in the face during an appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe in 2019.

But Tester is going to need a lot of Trump voters to split their ticket this year if he wants to have any chance of winning.

Trump traveled to Bozeman, Montana where called Tester out for his voting record.

“He votes against us 100% of the time, he’s voted in favor of Joe Biden 100% of the time,” Trump said. “He did it last time with the election, we had the same problem. You remember he comes out everyone saying he really likes your policy a lot. He does it like he’s a radical left lunatic, just like Kamala.”

Recent polling of the race suggests that Tester is in deep trouble.

A Rassmussen survey found Montana Republican Senate candidate Tim Sheehy led Tester by a 50% to 43% margin.

Sheehy was 51 to 44 over Tester in a Public Opinion Strategies conducted for the Montana GOP.

Jon Tester’s political career is on borrowed time.
