Kamala Harris tax plan panned as un-American
Vice President Kamala Harris is finally starting to roll out economic proposals.
It’s been a disaster, which proved Democrats right who think she can’t talk about issues.
The two proposals Kamala introduced were a price control scheme that even Washington Post left-wing columnist Catherine Rampell mocked as “communist.”
The second was imposing a tax on unrealized gain.
Taxing unrealized gains means that anytime an investment goes up in value, the government would tax the gain on it even if the individual in question didn’t sell and make a profit.
This tax hike is unconstitutional as the 16th Amendment only allows the government to tax income.
Shark Tank star Kevin O’Leary tore this lawless tax hike scheme to shreds in an appearance on Fox News.
O’Leary slammed the plan as “offensive” because the vast majority of all jobs are created by small business owners.
“Of all the suggestions I’ve heard on taxation, I find that the most offensive because just think about America,” O’Leary said. “62% of jobs are created by my people, small businesses that have between five and 500 employees. We watch the value of our companies go up each year even though we’re struggling to keep them going with all the regulatory environment and all the competition, but we do it.”
He said this tax served as a dagger held at the throats of business owners.
“And then all of a sudden we get a tax bill. Let’s say our business went from being worth $10 million to $20 million over five years. Where am I going to come up with three, four million dollars cash that I don’t even have, that I never had? When you think pragmatically about these you understand how bad they are,” O’Leary added.
O’Leary slammed Kamala’s unrealized gains tax as “un-American,” as it could force business owners to close their doors as suddenly they get tax bills out of nowhere.
“Look if I am a small business owner, I’m running a dry cleaners and you are telling me I owe you $800,000 four years after I open that I don’t have. That just makes no sense whatsoever. That’s just so un-American. It’s un-American! Un-American!” O’Leary concluded.
Kamala Harris as a chameleon
Kamala Harris wants voters to see her as the candidate of change.
She also wants to position herself as a moderate.
But so far Kamala’s economic plans are pulled from the U.S. Senators Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) playbook.
Kamala rolling out policies was bound to happen.
It also means that the more she talks and puts her agenda on the table, the more the election becomes about her.
And that’s not a good thing for Democrats.
