Harrison Butker melts snowflakes with his commencement speech

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker is a strict Catholic who delivered the commencement speech at Catholic Benedictine College.

Only in the woke states of America would a Catholic telling other Catholics to affirm their faith set off a controversy.

Butker told the female graduates that being a mother was a greater title than any promotion they could receive in the workplace.

“I want to speak directly to you briefly because I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolical lies told to you. How many of you are sitting here now, about to cross this stage, and are thinking about all the promotions and titles you are going to get in your career? Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world,” Butker stated.

The media whines

Left-wing reporters attacked Butker as a misogynist.

“Sure, NFL was stoked about all the new fans Taylor Swift brought to the game. Not sure how they’re gonna feel tho when Swifties start pushing back on some of the men that make up the league. Tip of the iceberg,” NBC Congressional Correspondent Ali Vitali posted on X.

“Harrison Butker deserves all the criticism he’s getting, but he also gave this speech at a Catholic school that very much institutionalizes and teaches its students these same misogynist, homophobic values. I’d worry more about these schools than a single graduation speech,” CNN columnist Jill Filipovic also wrote.

A petition demanding the Chiefs cut Butker garnered more than 100,000 signatures on change.org.

In today’s day and age, corporations are terrified of woke outrage mobs posting about them on social media.

The NFL denounced Butker in a statement as a thought criminal who violated the league’s high tenants of diversity and inclusion.

But many Americans wondered if the Chiefs would see Butker as too big a problem proportional to the position he played and cut bait.

The Hunt family responds

The trophy for winning the AFC – the Lamar Hunt trophy – is named after the founder of the Chiefs and the family is an NFL institution.

Clark Hunt – the current owner of the Chiefs – hasn’t commented on Butker’s speech.

But his wife and daughter weighed in.

“America would like to know the reaction from the Hunt family regarding the kicker, Harrison Butker,” Fox & Friends host Peter Doocy asked Gracie Hunt.

Gracie Hunt refused to throw him under the bus.

“I can only speak from my own experience, which is I had the most incredible mom who had the ability to stay home and be with us as kids growing up. And I understand that there are many women out there who can’t make that decision but for me in my life, I know it was really formative in my shaping me and my siblings to be who we are,” Hunt stated.

“So you understand what he was talking about?” Doocy responded.

She answered in the affirmative and declared her respect for Butker’s religious faith.

“For sure, and I really respect Harrison and his Christian faith and what he’s accomplished on and off the field,” Hunt added.

Clark Hunt’s wife Tavia also weighed and blasted anyone who called it “bigoted” to ‘affirm motherhood.’

“Affirming motherhood and praising your wife, as well as highlighting the sacrifice and dedication it takes to be a mother, is not bigoted,” Tavia Hunt wrote on social media. “It is empowering to acknowledge that a woman’s hard work in raising children is not in vain … Someone disagreeing with you doesn’t make them hateful; it simply means they have a different opinion.”

For once it looks like the NFL won’t go woke and cave to the pressure to cancel Butker.
