Ilhan Omar’s daughter arrested at pro-Hamas protest
Police arrested representative Ilhan Omar’s (D-MN) daughter – Isra Hirsi – as well as more than 100 other demonstrators who set up a tent city at Columbia University on behalf of the Palestinians.
Omar later announced on social media that she was one of three students suspended by Barnard College for her anti-Israel activism.
Hirsi is part of an anti-Semitic group that smears Israel as an apartheid state.
“I just received notice that I am 1 of 3 students suspended for standing in solidarity with Palestinians facing a genocide,” Hirsi posted on social media.
“I’m an organizer with CU Apartheid Divest @ColumbiaSJP, in my 3 years at @BarnardCollege I have never been reprimanded or received any disciplinary warnings,” Hirsi continued.

Barnard Dean Leslie Grinage announced the suspensions in an email.
“This decision is based on information received from Columbia University Public Safety that you have been involved in an unauthorized encampment on the Columbia University campus and you have not ceased participation in this unauthorized encampment despite repeated requests from Barnard and Columbia on April 17, 2024 that you do so,” the email explaining the suspensions read.
Omar’s daughter follows in her mother’s anti-Israel footsteps
Ilhan Omar’s daughter is part of a group trying to destroy Israel through the Left’s tried and true method that they use to cancel conservatives in America – economic boycotts.
The boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) movement seeks to cripple Israel economically by pressuring woke corporations to end business deals and for governments to sanction Israel for supposedly violating the human rights of the Palestinians who are harboring the terrorist groups trying to eradicate the state of Israel.
“We will stand resolute until our demands are met. Our demands include divestment from companies complicit in genocide, transparency of @Columbia’s investments and FULL amnesty for all students facing repression,” Omar’s daughter wrote.
Ilhan Omar also supports the BDS movement.
Just months after entering Congress, Omar introduced a pro-BDS resolution.
“We are introducing a resolution … to really speak about the American values that support and believe in our ability to exercise our first amendment rights in regard to boycotting,” Omar said about her resolution in the Al-Monitor. “And it is an opportunity for us to explain why it is we support a nonviolent movement, which is the BDS movement.”
The rising tide of anti-Semitism on American college campuses is a major problem.
The heads of Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania, and MIT embarrassed themselves before Congress when they failed to condemn pro-Hamas demonstrators calling for a genocide of the Jews.
And the BDS movement is a prime vector for this prejudice to move across college campuses.
