You won’t believe what Donald Trump just said about John McCain
Donald Trump and John McCain were political enemies.
McCain feuded with Trump over immigration, trade, and foreign policy.
But you won’t believe what Trump just said about McCain.
During the 2016 election, it emerged that John McCain’s most trusted aide – David Kramer – peddled the fake news Christopher Steele dossier to multiple journalists.
McCain also personally handed a copy of the dossier to then-FBI Director James Comey.
Trump called out McCain for trying to sabotage his campaign in a weekend Tweet.
President Donald Trump ripped the late Senator John McCain on Sunday for passing on the bogus opposition dossier to the FBI and the media.
Trump mocked McCain for being “last in his class” after reading reports that the deceased senator and his associate David Kramer helped spread the dossier compiled by Christopher Steel to reporters and government officials.
“So it was indeed (just proven in court papers) ‘last in his class’ (Annapolis) John McCain that sent the Fake Dossier to the FBI and Media hoping to have it printed BEFORE the Election,” he wrote on Twitter. “He & the Dems, working together, failed (as usual).
Trump recalled that media outlets in 2016 did not publish details from the unverified dossier until after the election.
“Even the Fake News refused this garbage!” he wrote.
Fake news reporters were furious.
They claimed Trump smeared a dead man who was unable to defend himself.
But these same fake news reporters also mercilessly attacked McCain when he ran for President against Barack Obama.
Many Trump supporters found their outrage to be convenient and phony.
They latched onto McCain’s death as a way to score cheap political points at Donald Trump’s expense.
