William Barr made one decision about jailing a Trump ally that left jaws on the ground

Since taking over as Attorney General, William Barr has received praise from the President and his supporters.

But now Barr was faced with the toughest challenge of his career.

And William Barr made one decision about jailing a Trump ally that left jaws on the ground.

Last year, Robert Mueller and his Democrat prosecutors charged Trump associate Roger Stone with lying to Congress and witness intimidation.

Fake news reporters and investigators all thought Stone colluded with the Russians, but when that conspiracy theory collapsed prosecutors needed to justify their investigation so they hit Stone with a series of process crimes.

A jury convicted Stone and Stone awaited sentencing.

Prosecutors in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia decided to make an example out of Stone and recommend Stone serve seven to nine years in prison.

This draconian sentence offended Americans’ sense of justice and fairness.

President Trump expressed his disgust that prosecutors threw the book at Stone, but let Deep State agents like James Comey and Andrew McCabe walk free despite serious evidence of alleged criminal behavior.

President Trump tweeted, “This is a horrible and very unfair situation. The real crimes were on the other side, as nothing happens to them. Cannot allow this miscarriage of justice!”

Thankfully 24 hours later, the Justice Department reversed its decision and would not seek such a harsh sentence for Stone.

POLITICO reported that “department leaders were taken by surprise by the recommendation in the prosecution filing. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the decision to revise the submission was unrelated to Trump’s tweet and took place Monday evening, prior to Trump sending the message.”
“The department was shocked to see the sentencing recommendation in the Stone case last night,” the official told POLITICO. “That recommendation was not the recommendation that had been briefed to the department. The department found the recommendation to be extreme and excessive and grossly disproportionate to Stone’s offenses and the department will clarify its position in court later today.”

marleen davis, I am convinced that Scott27 and Dr. J.D. are the same troll. They always post on the same days around the same time, and they often compliment each other. You rarely see just one of them post.
He /she used to post a lot more along with the RedMan and the other trolls until they removed the respond button. I guess they don’t think it’s as much fun now.

Uncle Hoppy, You need to realize that these “HATERS” are paid by the Soros/Obuma/Clinton cartels to infiltrate all of the Conservative sites and try to irritate at least and turn at best. They get paid to distract and aggravate the patriots. So sneaky and nasty and dirty the way they play. The left has no moral compass and does not care how or who they disparage. If they really get to you, on most sites, you can report them. On most site, there is a circle with the triangle on the right of the post. If you click it, you get a “report” choice. Click that and it will remove their inane comment. I do it often because they just have too much gall and nastiness. ON some sites, they have a device that after a minute or two, the comment automatically returns, I guess the dimms have thought of everything but you can continue to report and delete. We can play their stupid games as well. The less these evils doers get paid, the less they will post.

Lying to Congress, what are these the same members of congress that lie to their district about they are going to do (not to do) every election. If that a power they have, then we the people should have the same right, 6 months and out if they don’t do as they said they would do. Fair is fair

They need to prosecute these lowlifes.

Stone should be exonerated of all crimes. The justice department should go after all those that has been lying during this three year long witch hunt.

So what does Adam Schiff get for lying to Congress and the whole world repeatedly?

Uncle Hoppy, there sure seem to be a lot of Trump-haters on this forum. I thought this was supposed to be a place for true Patriots, not a bunch of sudo-commies! As you so correctly stated, they are nothing but irrational Trump haters!

The Dems could not convict President Trump of any crime or wrongdoing so they went after his friends and associates. Roger stone did absolutely nothing wrong, immoral or illegal! He may have misspoken a few times answering questions where he was not sure about a number and they took that one minor thing as lying to congress. Hillary openly lied to congress and lied to the FBI BUT got nothing, not even a slap on the wrist. What Hillary got was the Deep State wishing her luck in the 2016 election. HOW she could run for president while under FBI investigation IS A CRIME! Oh, we believe she is guilty and then WE KNOW she is guilty BUT we think she didn’t mean it, so let her go and let her still run for president. Damn corruption! There are like 150 persons who took part in the attempted coup of President Trump and each one should be arrested and charged with Treason!

I once tried to ask Scott27 and Dr.J.D. what is it they hate so much about Trump but they both wouldn’t answer. I asked them who they would like to vote for to replace Trump but they wouldn’t answer.
Maybe they were afraid I was setting a trap. Or maybe they just don’t have an answer. They just hate Trump for no rational reason.
