William Barr made one decision about jailing a Trump ally that left jaws on the ground

Since taking over as Attorney General, William Barr has received praise from the President and his supporters.

But now Barr was faced with the toughest challenge of his career.

And William Barr made one decision about jailing a Trump ally that left jaws on the ground.

Last year, Robert Mueller and his Democrat prosecutors charged Trump associate Roger Stone with lying to Congress and witness intimidation.

Fake news reporters and investigators all thought Stone colluded with the Russians, but when that conspiracy theory collapsed prosecutors needed to justify their investigation so they hit Stone with a series of process crimes.

A jury convicted Stone and Stone awaited sentencing.

Prosecutors in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia decided to make an example out of Stone and recommend Stone serve seven to nine years in prison.

This draconian sentence offended Americans’ sense of justice and fairness.

President Trump expressed his disgust that prosecutors threw the book at Stone, but let Deep State agents like James Comey and Andrew McCabe walk free despite serious evidence of alleged criminal behavior.

President Trump tweeted, “This is a horrible and very unfair situation. The real crimes were on the other side, as nothing happens to them. Cannot allow this miscarriage of justice!”

Thankfully 24 hours later, the Justice Department reversed its decision and would not seek such a harsh sentence for Stone.

POLITICO reported that “department leaders were taken by surprise by the recommendation in the prosecution filing. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the decision to revise the submission was unrelated to Trump’s tweet and took place Monday evening, prior to Trump sending the message.”
“The department was shocked to see the sentencing recommendation in the Stone case last night,” the official told POLITICO. “That recommendation was not the recommendation that had been briefed to the department. The department found the recommendation to be extreme and excessive and grossly disproportionate to Stone’s offenses and the department will clarify its position in court later today.”

Everyone involved in the Mueller investigation should be charged with Crimes Against American Citizens and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Such miscarriages of justice should not be allowed to exist in this or any other supposedly free country.

  2. The real criminals like Hillary, Obama, Comey,Struct, Page, Mueller, Biden, Kerry and many other democrats walk free while someone that didn’t really committ a crime is in prison.

A lot of you people posting things don’t know what you are talking about. Dr JD the President is in fact suppose to see that the laws are faithfully and fairly executed. Atticus you are wrong. What the original prosecutors wanted were outside the guild lines for the charges Stone was convicted of. The president has every right just like you do to tweet about anything he thinks. If you people cannot see how wrong the prosecution of Stone and Manafort were and are then you are letting your bias get in the way of fair prosecution. If you people keep pushing for this type of nonsense one day these things that you want just may be implemented and either you or a loved one of yours will fall victim to a justice system that is no longer just. We need to see the real criminals get charged and go to jail for their crimes against our country. It is BS to appoint a special counsel to investigate something that was bogus from the start and then when they cannot find any evidence of a crime they go off and investigate a guys life and get them them for something that happened 25 & 30 years ago. I’m sure their are things in most of our lives that if the police investigated us we could be charged with wrong doing. Somethings you’ve done might be illegal and you don’t even know it. Be careful of what you wish for and don’t have such an open mind that your brains fall out.

  7. Old Gringo says:

Barr has nothing to do with any of this…It is up to the presiding judge to make a determination as to what Stone’s punishment will be and for how long he will be incarcerated…More fake news with this article….Barr is not involved.

  8. Jerry Moore says:

Hey Scott 27 how do you know so much I think you are just a deplorable democrat talking like pencil neck and Maxine big lip

  9. Articus says:

OMG, his lunatic boss makes an unwaranted, uncalled for, and inappropriate tweet concerning Stone’s sentence which, for those unfailiar with this particular case, was completely within the federal sentencing guidlines, and Barr immediately calls for a review and indicates a lesser sentance is called for. Neither Barr nor the President have any business interfering in this matter and Barr, whose thumb, or in this case, his entire hand is directly on the scale of justice must be sensured at very least, but more appropriately should be dis-barred for his enjoining an issure miles and miles above his pay scale.

Let U.S. investigate ALL the FBI actions in the last 4 years…ALL. Like a 5 am televised arrest of this man and his wife by 27 FBI agents, and the 4 Drama Queen prosecutors. When the case is built on a lie/FBI-ish there is no perjury, it’s a perjury trap.

  11. Deborah says:

So very sorry you are so blinded to the Democrats deceptions.

And, how many of djt’s close associates are currently behind bars? Welcome to the world’s newest banana republic.

I THINK THE PROSECUTORS IN THIS CASE SHOULD BE JUDGED BY THE SAME STANDARDS THEY USED ON STONE. MAYBE THEN THEY WILL REALIZE HOW UNJUST THEIR WORK IS. i AM PRETTY SURE THEY WILL NOT BE PROSECUTING ANY CASES IN THE FUTURE.

  14. Jerry Moore says:

It seems that the deplorable communist mfing democrats want all of their criminals to get off scott free
They should all get the death penalty

  15. Dr. J. D. says:

That is absolutely correct, Scott27 – – the president is supposed to be separate and not involved at all in the decisions of the justice department. Again, Trump is making yet another obstruction of justice, this time to interfere for a flagrant violation of the law and his main “dirty tricks” agent, another henceman for Trump lawlessness. If not for the lapdogs like Pence, Barr, and GOP Senators, this president has admitted he could murder someone on 5th avenue in broad daylight, and still not lose his support. That makes him a lawless cult leader, not a president.

  16. Dr. J.D. says:

Scott27 is absolutely true, the Attorney General is supposed to be the people’s attorney standing up for justice for the people, not Trump’s personal lawyer or lackey who does the bidding of Trump. It shows how unethical and lawless this president is, perverting the laws over and over, and violating them with impunity, with the backing of spineless jackals like Barr, Pence, and the GOP Senators. Trump thinks he is America’s CEO and can do and order anything, like he has the unlimited power of a monarch. He is disrespectful of the law, like he is about protections for whistle blowers.

  17. Scott27 says:

And, let’s see, how many of djt’s close associates are currently behind bars? Welcome to the world’s newest banana republic.

  18. Roland says:

All obama appointees should be dumped I mean all.

  19. Joe Speer says:

Hey Scott all the lapdogs left with Obama

  20. Scott27 says:

And the four prosecutors on the case… all of whom have more integrity in their pinky fingers than anyone in the current administration… all quit. Barr is not an attorney general for the people or the law; he’s merely another lapdog yes man.
