William Barr had a phone call about throwing this top Democrat in jail
Donald Trump and other administration officials are getting fed up with the Democrats celebrating lawless riots.
But no one knew just how determined the President and his team were to restore law and order.
And now William Barr had a phone call about throwing this top Democrat in jail.
Attorney General William Barr is pushing Donald Trump’s law and order message.
On a call with federal prosecutors, the Attorney General pressed them to take a tougher stand on the rioters by throwing the book at them with charges of sedition.
Barr also discussed bringing criminal charges against Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan over her allowing armed and dangerous Black Lives Matter and Antifa rioters to seize control of six city blocks and establishing the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone.
The New York Times reported:
Attorney General William P. Barr told federal prosecutors in a call last week that they should consider charging rioters and others who had committed violent crimes at protests in recent months with sedition, according to two people familiar with the call . . .
. . . The attorney general has also asked prosecutors in the Justice Department’s civil rights division to explore whether they could bring criminal charges against Mayor Jenny Durkan of Seattle for allowing some residents to establish a police-free protest zone near the city’s downtown for weeks this summer, according to two people briefed on those discussions. Late Wednesday, a department spokesman said that Mr. Barr did not direct the civil rights division to explore this idea.
Durkan’s negligence turned deadly and at least one person was killed in a deadly shooting after Mayor Durkan allowed the rioters to chase off police and establish their own lawless society.
