What Joe Biden said about Trump contracting coronavirus will leave you speechless
Donald Trump entering the hospital after contracting the coronavirus left many Americans concerned.
Democrats saw it as an opportunity for political attack.
And what Joe Biden said about Trump contracting coronavirus will leave you speechless.
When Donald Trump checked into the hospital for treatment for the coronavirus, Joe Biden falsely claimed his campaign took down its negative TV ads.
In fact, contrast ads were airing in some states and the campaign continued to attack the President in social media and online ads.
But Biden saved his sharpest remarks for a chat with supporters at an NBC town hall event.
Biden falsely claimed that President Trump told people not to wear masks and not to social distance and so the President deserved to contract coronavirus.
“Anybody who contracts the virus by essentially saying, ‘masks don’t matter, social distancing doesn’t matter,’ I think is responsible for what happens to them,” Biden rambled.
In fact, President Trump has on multiple occasions told Americans to wear a mask and to socially distance.
Biden then claimed wearing a mask was patriotic.
“I view wearing this mask, not so much protecting me, but as a patriotic responsibility,” Biden added.
Biden then claimed that President Trump contracting the coronavirus was an embarrassment, but not surprising.
“I will be very honest with you,” Biden continued, “it was embarrassing for the nation.”
“For the last three months, three times a week, I’m on the telephone and on Zoom with some of the leading immunologists in the nation, and they go through everything that’s happening. And so the idea that COVID does not spread in proximity when you don’t have a mask on, when you’re not socially dancing, when there’s large groups of people, when you’re inside in particular and even when you’re outside, that’s not surprising,” Biden declared.
Joe Biden’s lack of leadership during the pandemic is what many Americans find to be embarrassing.
Biden hid in his basement and demanded national mask mandates to promote a culture of fear surrounding the virus.
Instead of trying to reassure the American people, Biden tried to frighten them.
