Trump just shut down Mitt Romney in the greatest way ever
Mitt Romney is showing his true colors.
He begged Trump for the Secretary of State job and then accepted Trump’s endorsement for Utah Senate.
Now he stabbed the President in the back and the way Trump responded will make you stand up and cheer.
Since Romney failed to win the Republican nomination for Senate at a party convention, he was forced to run in the primary.
Trump’s endorsement helped Romney cross the finish line.
This week Romney returned the favor by stabbing Trump in the back in a Washington Post op-ed.
Romney whined that “Trump’s character falls short.”
However, Trump’s response could be bad news for Utah’s newest Senator.
President Donald Trump responded to criticism from Senator-elect Mitt Romney on Wednesday, suggesting that now is the time for Republicans to work together on the nation’s issues as a “team” instead of fighting over style differences.
“Here we go with Mitt Romney, but so fast!” Trump marveled after Romney published a critical op-ed against Trump in the Washington Post.
Romney, who was elected last year to replace Orrin Hatch as U.S. Senator for Utah, lamented that Trump’s presidency made a “deep descent” in December, alleging that he “has not risen to the mantle of the office.”…
“Question will be, is he a Flake?” Trump asked. “I hope not. Would much prefer that Mitt focus on Border Security and so many other things where he can be helpful.”
Trump reminded Romney that the former Massachusetts governor lost his presidential election in 2012.
Mitt Romney is a sore loser.
He’s still upset that Trump did what he could not – win the presidency.
And instead of using his new U.S. Senate seat to help push for the wall and conservative reforms, he’s using it to attack Trump.
But he is making a grave mistake.
Jeff Flake thought he could have it both ways.
Flake constantly attacked Trump in an attempt to appeal to the leftwing media.
But Flake was forced to resign because he knew he lost his base and now he is little more than an afterthought to his pals in the fake news media.
If Romney keeps this up, he’ll suffer the same fate.
