Trump Just Exposed the Obamacare Payoff Scheme And Who Enriched Themselves At Your Expense

Democrats sold Americans a lie about Obamacare being designed to help the little guy.
For years, they claimed the so-called Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) would lower costs and expand coverage for working families.
But Trump just exposed the Obamacare payoff scheme and who got enriched at the expense of ordinary Americans.
Trump Calls Out the Real Winners Under Obamacare
President Trump didn't mince words when he called out the Democrat Party's healthcare scam during a recent appearance.
"We're also working to bring down the cost of health care. Obamacare is a scam," Trump stated.¹
He pointed to the jaw-dropping windfall insurance companies raked in since Democrats rammed through the law in 2010.
"Under Obamacare, trillions of dollars were given directly to health insurance companies," Trump explained. "Their stocks are up 1,700% in a very short period of time. Would you say that's good?"¹
The numbers back up Trump's claims in ways Democrats never wanted Americans to see.
Since Obama signed the Affordable Care Act in March 2010, health insurer stocks have absolutely exploded while American families got crushed with skyrocketing premiums.
UnitedHealth Group's stock has jumped more than 700% since Obamacare became law.²
Centene's stock price multiplied by 12 times—that's a 1,100% increase.²
The weighted average of health insurer stock prices soared 1,032% from 2010 to 2024, while the S&P 500 only gained 251% over the same period.³
Insurance companies didn't just beat the broader market—they demolished it.
And they did it by feeding at the government trough while Americans saw their healthcare costs explode.
Democrats Built a System That Pays Off Their Donors
Trump connected the dots that the mainstream media refuses to acknowledge.
"Obamacare's primary purpose was to pay off insurance companies," Trump said. "You know, the insurance companies back the Democrats very heavily."¹
The campaign finance records prove Trump right.
UnitedHealth Group funneled nearly 59% of its political donations to Democrats in the 2024 election cycle.⁴
Centene gave $38.88 million to Democratic Senate candidates between 2018 and 2024, compared to just $19.16 million to Republicans.⁴
These insurance giants didn't donate out of the goodness of their hearts.
They invested in Democrats because Obamacare was designed to guarantee them profits at taxpayer expense.
The law forced Americans to buy insurance or pay tax penalties, creating a captive customer base for these companies.
Then Democrats flooded insurance companies with government subsidies, Medicaid expansion payments, and other taxpayer-funded handouts.
In inflation-adjusted dollars, Medicaid spending on insurers more than quadrupled from 2010 to 2021.³
Meanwhile, Democrats have been holding government funding hostage to protect these same insurance company subsidies during recent budget negotiations.
The entire corrupt system exists to transfer wealth from American taxpayers to insurance company shareholders.
Trump Wants to Give the Money Directly to Americans
The President outlined a radically different approach that puts Americans first instead of insurance companies.
"I want to give billions of dollars directly to the people," Trump stated. "I want to take all of the billions and billions, and actually trillions, but over a period of time, and I want to give all of that money we give to the big fat, rich insurance companies, I don't want to give them nothing."¹
Trump's plan would eliminate the middleman—the insurance companies—and let Americans use federal healthcare dollars to purchase their own coverage.
"We want you to go out and buy your own health insurance, and you'll get much better health insurance at a much lower everybody knows this is the best way to go," Trump explained.¹
The current system enriches insurance companies while Americans pay the price through higher premiums and reduced coverage.
"Your premiums are going up on Obamacare and everything is forcing everything on," Trump said. "They're sucking our country dry with a scam by the Democrats."¹
Trump challenged Democrats to prove they actually care about Americans more than their insurance company donors.
"The Democrats, they're bought and owned by the insurance companies," Trump declared. "So let's see how many of them have the guts to vote for this."¹
Democrats have spent 15 years pretending Obamacare helps the American people.
But Trump just exposed the truth—it was designed to enrich insurance companies that bankroll Democrat campaigns.
Now Americans know who Democrats really serve.
