Trey Gowdy shut down Barack Obama with one truth bomb
More and more Americans are waking up to the Obama administration’s crimes during the 2016 election every day.
Former President Obama is furiously trying to keep the cover-up going.
But now Trey Gowdy shut down Barack Obama with one truth bomb.
Barack Obama lashed out at the decision made by the Department of Justice to drop criminal charges against Michael Flynn after a review of the case by United States Attorney Jeffrey Jensen found significant FBI misconduct.
Obama ranted that this decision trashed the rule of law and that there was no precedent for anyone getting away with making false statements.
Trey Gowdy turned those comments around on Obama.
Gowdy asked where Obama’s respect for the rule of law was when the FBI fabricated a criminal pretext to set up Michael Flynn for a perjury trap.
“Where is [Obama’s] respect for the rule of law for the crime that Michael Flynn was the victim of?” Gowdy, a Fox News contributor, asked on Sunday Morning Futures.
Gowdy then recalled how someone in the Obama administration committed a felony punishable by up to ten years in prison by leaking the fact that Flynn was picked up on a FISA wiretap speaking with the Russian Ambassador to the Washington Post.
“Remember, he was unmasked by somebody in Obama’s administration and then it was leaked . . . that is a 10-year felony, to disseminate classified information,” he continued. “Michael Flynn was a victim of that crime,” Gowdy added.
Gowdy also noted how beginning under the Obama administration, the FBI deceived the FISA court by not revealing that the information from the Christopher Steele dossier used to win permission to spy on former Trump campaign aide Carter Page was unverified.
“The FBI used a dossier that was bought and paid for by your political party without vetting a single factual allegation in that dossier,” he said. “You put it in front of a federal judge, where is your concern for respect for the rule of law as it relates to Carter Page and what happened to him?” Gowdy asked.
Obama’s “respect” for the rule of law is nothing more than a principle of convenience.
