Trey Gowdy dropped the hammer on MSNBC with one brutal truth
From day one, MSNBC and the rest of the fake news media tried to bring down President Trump.
Left-wing reporters actively participated in the coup to overthrow the duly elected President.
And Trey Gowdy just dropped the hammer on MSNBC with one brutal truth.
During an appearance on Fox News, former Congressman Trey Gowdy shredded the credibility of the so-called “mainstream” media.
Gowdy noted that it was the media that floated — and then kept alive — the conspiracy theory that Donald Trump colluded with the Russians in the 2016 presidential election.
Fox News reports:
Gowdy, who represented South Carolina in Congress from 2011 until earlier this year, accused the media of playing a pivotal role in keeping the Russia collusion narrative alive.
“This story, they wanted to get it started right after the inauguration. And they want to keep it going until November of 2020. And even having a pathetic, sad hearings that don’t benefit anyone other than the folks advertising on television, that is part of this effort to keep it alive,” Gowdy said.
Gowdy, 54, who opted to retire rather than seek another term in Congress, said that the media will have to reflect on why Americans don’t trust them.
“At some point, they need to ask themselves, I wonder why we are not trusted. I wonder why people think we are in the tank with the Democrats,” Gowdy said.
MSNBC was among the worst offenders.
Rachel Maddow — whose show is the centerpiece of MSNBC’s primetime lineup — turned her program into a nightly convention for tinfoil hat wearing leftists.
But as Gowdy noted — the American people are tuning out these purveyors of fake news.
Maddow’s ratings — as well as fake news network CNN’s — have plummeted since Robert Mueller produced his final report and failed to find evidence of a criminal conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the Russians.
