Trey Gowdy dropped the hammer on Joe Biden for what he said about Andrew Cuomo
Andrew Cuomo’s resignation became the biggest story in American politics.
But Joe Biden’s absurd reaction turned into the second biggest story.
And then Trey Gowdy dropped the hammer on Joe Biden for what he said about Andrew Cuomo.
Andrew Cuomo resigned after a report detailing allegations of sexual harassment made by 11 current and former female employees made his political stranding untenable.
Cuomo also faced charges that his March 2020 order mandating nursing homes to take in COVID-19 patients killed up to 15,000 New York seniors.
But even with all that death and predatory behavior on Cuomo’s record, Joe Biden still praised Cuomo for doing a “helluva job” as Governor.
“I mean both on everything from access to voting to infrastructure, the whole range of things,” Biden stated. “That’s why it’s so sad.”
Trey Gowdy ripped those comments as missing the forest for the trees.
Gowdy explained that the allegations – as the New York State Attorney General laid them out in her report – constituted criminal conduct.
“For sure, the most recent accusations are criminal,” Gowdy told Fox News host Martha MacCallum. “You cannot put your hand on someone’s buttocks or their breasts. That’s a crime. So if, if [the] allegations are substantiated, there would be a criminal prosecution.
Gowdy noted that Biden got more questions about Cuomo than he did about a fake $1.2 trillion-dollar infrastructure bill that passed the Senate so Biden’s handlers should have prepared a better answer.
“Biden got more questions about Cuomo than he did about this historic infrastructure bill,” Gowdy added. “And I think he really bungled it when he tried to say, ‘Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?’ People have a hard time saying look, ‘We love your bridges. We’re just so sorry you terrorized young women while you were the governor.’”
