Trey Gowdy asked a question about the police that sent Democrats ducking for cover
The last two weeks have seen Democrats go on the offensive like never before.
Liberals seized on the pandemic and the riots following George Floyd’s death to launch unprecedented attacks on the President.
To counter that onslaught, Trey Gowdy asked a question about the police that sent Democrats ducking for cover.
The latest idea sweeping across the Democrat Party is “defunding the police.”
This is not some fringe idea adopted by a select few radicals.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar championed the idea.
The Minneapolis City Council announced it had a veto proof majority to dismantle its city’s police department.
In an interview on Fox News, former South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy blasted the Democrats for this ridiculous idea.
“Who is going to process crime scenes, arrest bad people?” Gowdy exclaimed.
“Who is going to enforce any law, child sex abuse, homicide? Who is going to do it if it’s not the police?”
Gowdy’s comments came after the Minneapolis City Council President told fake news CNN that calling the police for help if someone broke into your house in the middle of the night came from a “place of privilege.”
Democrats are rushing to distance themselves from this idea as much as humanly possible.
Joe Biden was forced to admit in an interview on CBS that he opposes defunding the police.
Nancy Pelosi would not commit to opposing the idea, but the she did not express support for it.
It’s not hard to see why.
Just 16 percent of Americans support defunding the police according to a recent poll.
But while some Americans take comfort in the fact this idea has little public support, other causes that the Left imposed on America such as homosexual marriage and so-called “transgender” rights also started as out the ravings of a lunatic fringe.
