Top Democrat introduced a new gun control scheme that is bad news

Democrats are ripping off the mask.

Every election year they pretend to be defenders of the Second Amendment.

Now that’s all out the window and one top Democrat introduced a new gun control scheme that is bad news.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz is the former chairwoman of the Democrat National Committee.

She pounced on the tragedy at Parkland, Florida to introduce new legislation requiring background checks for ammunition purchases.

The Daily Caller reports:

“In the wake of the “March For Our Lives” rally Saturday, and with no legislative appetite for more gun control laws, Democrats in both the House and Senate have introduced a bill requiring background checks for purchasing bullets.

“You do not have the right to bear bullets,” said Congresswoman and former Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz at a press conference Monday announcing the introduction of a bill that would require instant background checks to purchase ammunition.

The Ammunition Background Check Act was introduced by Wasserman Schultz in the House and Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) in the Senate. Like its name implies, it would require anyone looking to buy bullets to be subjected to background checks, similar to the one required to purchase a firearm in the first place.

Wasserman Schultz said, “I really think it’s important to underscore that without bullets a gun is just a hunk of useless metal, and a would-be killer lacks the means to actually kill or maim.”

The Florida congresswoman called the ability to buy ammunition a “loophole” in gun control laws.”

Democrats can’t outright ban guns because of the Second Amendment.

So they want to pass legislation that makes purchasing firearms and ammunition so burdensome that it acts as an effective ban.

Democrats are giving up on any pretense of respecting gun owners or gun rights.

That means if they get power back they will make ending the Second Amendment their top priority.

Sadly, you are adding words to your interpretation of the Constitution that change the meaning. If you read the Federalist Papers, written by the Founding Fathers, which explain why they wrote the Bill of Rights and why they wrote the Bill of Rights. The first reason why the Second Amendment was written involved THE FACT that the British forbade the possession of muskets (rifles) and forced them to be locked up from the colonists to prevent them from rebelling. Since the colonists did not have well trained militias, that blows your militia argument. The main reason that the Second Amendment was so written to allow private ownership of firearms, was to insure that the citizens would have the ability to arm themselves to overthrow a tyrannical government, such as one that wanted to confiscate all firearms, so the government would have sole power over it’s citizenry. What school did you attend? Have you actually read the Constitution of the United States? Also there is an oath that every single soldier, sailor, marine, or federal public official must take before assuming his duties and that is “TO DEFEND AND PROTECT THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA , FROM ALL ENEMIES, FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC, SO HELP ME GOD!”. I and every other veteran or active duty Soldier, Sailor, or Marine, have taken it, and taken it to heart as it is a pledge to defend our nation for as long as we live. This is why The Second Amendment is memorialized as the Second Amendment of the Ten. Amendments that form our Bill of Rights. The Founding Fathers realized that without that Second Amendment, the rest of the Constitution would lay defenseless. That is also why our Constitutional Republic is going strong after 229 years. By the way, the NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION was incorporated in 1871 with the primary duty of protecting the Second Amendment by educating American firearm owners in responsible gun ownership and safety standards set in handling firearms. Shooting events foster marksmanship giving us better training that is available to most military units. As a point of history, the Japanese fresh from their victory at PEARL HARBOR, were laying out plans to continue and invade the U.S. Mainland. The one opposing voice was Commander of the Combined Fleet Isoruko Yamamoto, who stated that because American civilians were allowed to own firearms, any invasion would be met by an American with a rifle “behind every blade of grass.” The plan to invade the U.S. was scrapped. Our Navy was crippled and our Army was poorly prepared and would have been unable to repulse an invasion by the well trained and well armed Japanese forces. This is why the Second Amendment which states”A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of THE PEOPLE to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. That is how important the Second Amendment is to the security of our country and our people. IT WILL NEVER BE INFRINGED!

Many Christian and Jews died fighting Nazi. Debbie is in agreement with what the Nazi spoke. I had family in Belgium doing WW2, I got to me them when I was 10. I learned a lot from them I lived in Munich Germany (Dad was Army) and I Liked and study history. We live 15 miles from Dauchu, a concentration camp. Dad took me to Dauchu and you could smell the ground was different , from the many bodies that had been interned there. Youth is so ignorant, no life experience. You have to see and experience things. I hadn’t traveled to Dauchu and seen the photos of people stacked like cord wood. Stood on the same ground, I would not have impacted me the same way. I am Christian not Jewish. Yes I served 28 years in Army. I was always defender of underdog.

Sounds about right don’t you think..? Those who would attempt to subvert and undermine the Second Amendment to the Constitution of America and contained, in OUR Bill of Rights, should hereafter be brought up on charges of Sedition, and anti-American activities against the people and established government of the united states of America. Whatever can be done, should be done against ALL that would subvert the Peoples Rights [.] ….Just sayin. We’d better put up or shut up. We’re being attacked from within and I for one, won’t roll over for these leftist hold-overs from Animal Farm, that think they can rob Americans of their heritage. What say You?
