This key Democrat lowered the boom that could force Joe Biden to leave office

Joe Biden’s Presidency is in peril.

Afghanistan proved to be a breaking point.

And this key Democrat lowered the boom that could force Joe Biden to leave office.

Pennsylvania Congresswoman Susan Wild (D) is one of the frontline members who represents a swing district that Democrats need to protect in order to keep their majority.

As the debacle in Afghanistan spiraled out-of-control, culminating with ISIS terrorists killing 13 U.S. troops in a suicide bombing, Wild could not maintain her support for Joe Biden.

In a statement, Wild attacked the withdrawal as “cascading failures” and a “catastrophic moment” and demanded a Congressional investigation into how the administration allowed this failure to take shape.

Wild’s statement read:

It is clear to me that it was long past time to end the U.S. military presence in Afghanistan, and that we could not continue to put American servicemembers in danger for an unwinnable war. At the same time, it appears that the evacuation process has been egregiously mishandled.

“In order to move forward, our country will need to receive answers and accountability regarding the cascading failures that led us to this catastrophic moment, and I look forward to using my platform on the House Foreign Affairs Committee to secure answers from the Biden Administration about what went wrong. Our troops deserve nothing less than a complete and unvarnished account of the truth.

In the days and weeks ahead, I will continue working to ensure that we leave no one—American servicemember, American civilian, or Afghan ally—behind. That is the indefatigable spirit that drives our troops through every burden and every sacrifice, and our entire country must now strive to be worthy of that example.

Democrats breaking with Biden is a bad sign.

Wild’s statement attracted so much attention because he is a swing district member from a key state.

Democrats like Wild are how Joe Biden won the Democrat’s nomination and then the Presidency.

If members of Congress like Wild are already looking for separation from Joe Biden eight months into his Presidency it is not a good sign for Democrats about Biden’s political viability should he run for re-election.
