This Democrat just let the cat out of the bag about her plan for gun confiscation
Democrats know being open about their beliefs with the American people is a recipe for sure defeat.
So they conceal their true agenda – especially when it comes to gun control.
But this Democrat candidate just slipped up and admitted something that will make gun owners furious.
Democrat Stacey Abrams is running for Governor in Georgia where polls show the race is neck-and-neck.
George Soros has spent over $1 million in Georgia hoping to install Abrams as the next governor.
Oprah Winfrey and other Hollywood celebrities have even made campaign appearances to support Abrams.
But her chances went up in smoke after this interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper.
Tapper asked Abrams about legislation that she sponsored as a State Representative that would force law-abiding gun owners to give up semi-automatic rifles including AR-15s.
During a November 4 appearance on CNN’s State of the Union Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams (D) admitted that a possible outcome of her gun control plans could be that “people would turn their guns in.”
She said other options might include “buybacks” and/or “grandfathering in” certain firearms, so current owners could keep them but be barred from selling them or transferring them to other individuals.
Abrams began by telling host Jake Tapper that “AR-15s are not necessary on our streets.” She then called for more gun control “semiautomatic weapons” in general. She did not mention that semiautomatic handguns like Glock, Kimber, Ruger, Walther, Sig Sauer, Smith & Wesson, Springfield Armory, etc., are the go-to choice for concealed carry and self-defense. Rather, she simply called for new controls for firearms with semiautomatic actions.
The RealClearPolitics average of polls shows that she trails her Republican opponent, Brian Kemp, by 2.8 percent – within the margin of error.
But Georgia voters are hardcore Second Amendment supporters.
Forcing these gun owners to turn over their guns to the government is unconstitutional.
Georgia voters will likely not take kindly to these threats from Stacey Abrams.
