The President of Mexico was floored when Joe Biden told him these four words about gas prices
Joe Biden can no longer hide his declining mental faculties from the American people.
Every time he appears in public, he looks confused, forgets names and places, and loses his train of thought.
But the President of Mexico was floored when Joe Biden told him these four words about gas prices.
President Joe Biden’s handlers do their best to limit his exposure to the public, and even their allies in the corporate-controlled press.
On the rare occasions when President Biden addresses self-proclaimed “journalists” or the American people, he reads from a teleprompter and only takes scripted questions.
For the first few months of his Presidency, Biden’s handlers were able to keep his cognitive decline mostly out of the public spotlight.
However, given his long string of failures, the President’s handlers could only shield him from the public for so long.
But the more Joe Biden speaks in public, the more his severely declining mental and physical abilities are on display for the world to see.
On Tuesday, President Biden held yet another gaffe-filled press conference at the White House with Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO).
Sitting in the Oval Office next to President Biden, President Obrador spoke for more than 30 minutes about a wide range of issues from illegal immigration to high gas prices.
At one point, a visibly fatigued Joe Biden interrupted Obrador to make strange comments about a Mexican camerawoman in attendance.
“Let me say one thing,” Biden interrupted. “I can’t get over how that lovely lady is holding that camera steady all this time. It’s amazing. Sorry for the distraction.”
President Obrador shucked off the strange comments and continued with his remarks.
While Mexico is also dealing with inflation and high gas prices, gas prices are lower in Mexico than they are in the United States.
Obrador mentioned Mexico’s lower gas prices, telling Biden that Americans are driving across the border to fill up their tanks, as gas is currently $3.12 a gallon in Mexico.
“Right now, a lot of the drivers — a lot of the Americans — are going to Mexico, to the Mexican border, to get their gasoline,” President Obrador said.
He added that he believes Americans should be able to cross the border to purchase fuel.
But after Obrador pointed out that gas prices were lower in Mexico, Biden shot back a response that left him floored.
“It has gone down for 30 days in a row,” Biden said defensively.
After topping a record-high $5.01 last month, the national average for a gallon of gas on Tuesday was $4.65, according to AAA.
So while President Biden is correct about gas prices going down over the past 30 days, Americans are still feeling the pain at the pump.
And they are still much higher than when Donald Trump – or anyone else for that matter – was in office, as the average cost for a gallon of gas never topped $2.96 during his four years in office.
Joe Biden’s defensive comment only shows how out of touch he is with the American people.
Polls show inflation and gas prices are the top issues for voters in November’s Midterms.
And President Joe Biden bragging about $4.65 a gallon gas will further decrease Democrats’ chances of hanging on to their majority in Congress.
