Supreme Court Justices finally dropped the hammer on Roe and Joe Biden is furious
Americans have been waiting for this decision since the unprecedented leak in May.
Conservatives have been praying for it for decades.
But Supreme Court Justices finally dropped the hammer on Roe and Joe Biden is furious.
In a landmark 6-3 decision authored by Justice Samuel Alito, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey.
“The Constitution does not confer a right to abortion; Roe and Casey are overruled; and the authority to regulate abortion is returned to the people and their elected representatives,” Justice Samuel Alito wrote.
You can read the full decision here.
Prior to the decision, the Biden administration was already warning that overturning Roe would setback “economic gains” women have made since the 1970s, as if women can’t possibly be pregnant, have a child, and still manage to hold a job or attend college.
“The estimates suggest that there will be significant economic impacts, much less the fact that children born into poverty don’t thrive as well,” Cecilia Rouse, chair of President Biden’s Council of Economic Advisors claimed. “They have lower education attainment. It will impact them in their own labor market outcomes. And so there’s going to be a generational impact as well.”
Democrats reacted with furor to the decision, with Mad Maxine Waters declaring “To hell with the Supreme Court.”
Rep. Maxine Waters: “To hell with the Supreme Court … we will defy them.”

UPDATE #4: Some politicians (Pelosi, Manchin, Collins, and others have suggested Kavanaugh and others committed perjury during their confirmation hearings. Here’s Jonathan Turley to explain why that’s flat-out not true.
Both Speaker Pelosi and Sen. Collins have suggested that justices like Kavanaugh lied about Roe during their confirmations. That is not true. The justices never pledged to vote to preserve Roe as opposed to generally respecting such precedent. https://t.co/h8ccGTjD0r
