Elon Musk and his team at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) have been receiving death threats due to their efforts to find $1 trillion in waste, fraud, and abuse to cut from the budget.
Along with threats against his life, Democrats and the media are also trying to cripple Elon Musk financially by destroying his Tesla company.
Many of the outrage directed at Elon Musk is due to the left-wing media spreading lies about DOGE.
The latest big lie from Democrats and the media is that Musk is planning to make big cuts to Social Security and Medicaid payments when in reality he’s trying to save it by eliminating waste and fraud.
On Tuesday’s edition of CNN NewsNight, host Abby Phillip brought up the town hall event Elon Musk held last weekend in Wisconsin ahead of the election for State Supreme Court.
Phillip repeated the Democrat lie that Musk “talked about cutting Medicaid and Social Security through DOGE.”
Of course, this is patently false.
At the event in Wisconsin, Musk and DOGE volunteer Antonio Gracias highlighted some of the widespread cases of fraud and abuse they uncovered in the Social Security administration.
However, Musk repeatedly made it clear that there would be no cuts to legitimate payments.
“I just stated as crisply and clearly as possible that DOGE will absolutely ensure that people get their Social Security, make sure they get that Social Security, make sure they get their Medicaid and will not be cutting any legitimate payments whatsoever. Crystal clear,” Musk said. “There will be no cuts to legitimate payments whatsoever.”
Former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker refused to allow Phillip to get away with lying about Musk cutting Social Security benefits.
“Actually, he never talked about that,” Walker said. “He explicitly said in Green Bay he would not cut Social Security,” he continued. “That’s exactly what he said.”
Phillip pushed back by telling Walker that Musk “talked at his rallies.”
“No, no,” Walker fired back. “Other people said that, but I was there, I watched him,” he continued, before adding that “he did not say he was going to cut Medicaid.”
Phillip then changed her argument and claimed that other people who work for DOGE have discussed cutting Social Security and Medicaid at Musk’s rallies.
“Do you think that there are risks here for Republicans in those issues being associated with Musk?” Phillip asked when Walker told her that was not true.
Walker explained that the lies about Musk’s intentions are what is putting his life and his companies in danger.
“There are when people believe the lies that people are saying about that,” Walker said. “That’s not at all what they said,” he continued. “If people believe that Medicaid and Medicare is going to be touched, that’s a flat-out lie.”
Elon Musk and DOGE are auditing the federal bureaucracy for waste, fraud, and abuse.
He’s not looking to cut benefits or take resources from legitimate areas.
But Democrats and the media don’t care about the truth.
All they care about is destroying Donald Trump and anyone associated with his administration.
