Ron DeSantis said five words that caused Democrats to melt down
Ron DeSantis became a star by taking on tough fights.
He doesn’t pull any punches when dealing with the Left.
And Ron DeSantis said five words that caused Democrats to melt down.
The pandemic gave the Left a playbook to carry out political power grabs under the guise of “public health.”
Now the corporate-controlled media is hysterically fear mongering over the monkeypox virus.
Democrat-controlled California, Illinois, and New York declared a state of emergency over the virus.
The overwhelming majority of monkeypox cases have occurred from risky sexual activity among gay and bisexual men.
Despite the fear mongering from Democrats and the corporate-controlled media, there are only 6,600 confirmed cases in the country.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has seen this playbook from the Left during the pandemic.
At a press conference, he explained that because of fear mongering from the media, worried mothers have contacted Florida officials asking if their children could catch monkeypox at school.
DeSantis said he was “sick” of politicians trying to create hysteria over monkeypox.
“You see any of these politicians you see out there trying to scare you about this,” DeSantis said. “Do not listen to their nonsense.”
“I am so sick of politicians, and we saw this with COVID, trying to sow fear into the population,” DeSantis added.
While other states may declare a state of emergency over the virus, Florida won’t be following them.
The Florida Department of Health cited a study from the highly-respected New England Journal of Medicine that found 98% of monkeypox cases are among the gay population.
The state of Florida will work with at-risk communities at the local level to address the problem.
“We are not doing fear,” DeSantis said. “And we are not going to go out and try to rile people up and try to act like people can’t live their lives as they’ve been normally doing because of something.”
DeSantis, a leader in pushing back against the pandemic power grab, slammed Democrat states for overreacting to the virus.
“You see some of these states declaring states of emergency. They’re going to abuse those emergency powers to restrict your freedom. I guarantee you that’s what will happen,” DeSantis said.
Predictably, Democrats and the corporate-controlled media attacked DeSantis for not playing along with the hysteria.
DeSantis’ likely opponent in the Governor’s race this fall, Charlie Crist, pounced on the decision not to declare a state of emergency.
“While Governor DeSantis dismisses monkeypox, at-risk Floridians still need better information, better testing, and access to vaccines for prevention,” Crist said on social media.
The CDC’s own statistics revealed that there are 525 monkeypox cases in Florida out of a population of 22 million people.
Ron DeSantis is already taking a firm stand against a virus that could be the flimsy pretext for the Left’s next power grab.
