Ron DeSantis just set up a Supreme Court showdown that is bad news for Joe Biden
Joe Biden is beginning to regret the day he decided to make Florida Governor Ron DeSantis the face of the opposition.
That’s because Governor DeSantis just took their fight to the next level.
And Ron DeSantis just set up a Supreme Court showdown that is bad news for Joe Biden.
Joe Biden announced that his authoritarian federal vaccine mandate for companies with more than 100 employees takes effect on January 4.
But Florida Governor Ron DeSantis then announced his state would sue Biden over this illegal and unprecedented power grab.
“I just think people are so sick of constantly being bossed around, restricted, mandated, all these different things,” DeSantis told reporters. “We have had enough of it and we want people to be able to make their own decisions.”
“I think this rule is absolutely going down,” DeSantis added.
DeSantis also added that Florida would file a separate lawsuit challenging Biden’s tyrannical vaccine mandate for health care workers at facilities that accept Medicare and Medicaid payments.
The federal government has never before mandated that the population take a vaccine.
Joe Biden previously told reporters he wasn’t sure the federal government had that power.
This is clearly an issue heading to the Supreme Court.
But Biden’s January 4 deadline to implement the mandate also undercuts his case.
It will be hard for Biden to argue the public health emergency is so great that it requires an unprecedented federal power grab while at the same time claiming the mandate can wait 60 days to take effect.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis didn’t even wait one full day to challenge the Biden administration’s unconstitutional vaccine mandate.
That willingness to fight is why polls show DeSantis as the frontrunner for the GOP nomination in 2024 should Donald Trump not run for President.
