Robert Mueller’s life is ruined after this surprise attack on Trump just backfired
The fake news media spent days hyping Robert Mueller’s “big reveal.”
The special counsel turned in sentencing memos that would show his progress in the Russia collusion investigation.
But that surprise attack on Donald Trump just backfired in this unbelievable way.
The first sentencing memo to come in was for former Trump attorney Michael Cohen.
Cohen presented his cooperation as his patriotic duty to right his criminal wrongs.
Instead, prosecutors recommended a judge throw the book at Cohen because his cooperation was “exaggerated” and “incomplete.”
The memo made no reference to Russian election interference or allegation in the Christopher Steele dossier that Cohen traveled to Prague to meet with Russian intelligence about a scheme to coordinate the release of emails hacked from the Democrats.
The memo even revealed that Cohen lied to prosecutors in his very first meeting.
This memo – which was hyped by the fake news media as “damaging” – was anything but.
Mueller also released his sentencing memo for former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort.
Mueller cancelled the plea agreement with Manafort because he claimed Manafort lied to him during interviews.
The fake news media once again breathlessly reported that Manafort was nailed for lying about his contacts with Russians during the 2016 campaign.
But again, Mueller failed to deliver the goods.
He claimed Manafort lied in four areas – he lied about his contacts with a Ukrainian business partner, a payment to one of his companies, a Justice Department investigation and when he stopped talking to Trump administration officials.
None of these lies implicated the President or pointed to any evidence of Russian collusion, a point Press Secretary Sarah Sanders was sure to note.
