One woman just filed a criminal complaint that will keep Andrew Cuomo up at night
The news went from bad to worse for New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
Cuomo thought he could use political grandstanding to fight his way out of the sexual harassment charges against him.
That went out the window though when one woman just filed a criminal complaint that will keep Andrew Cuomo up at night.
New York Attorney General Letitia James laid out a devastating report about how Andrew Cuomo allegedly sexually assaulted 11 current and former female employees.
But while James said Cuomo broke federal and state laws, they were only civil violations.
That changed when one staff assistant who claimed Cuomo groped her when the two took a picture together filed a criminal complaint with the Albany Sheriff.
The sheriff’s office will investigate this complaint and it could lead to criminal charges against Governor Cuomo and an arrest.
Fox News reports:
The victim, who was identified as “Executive Assistant #1,” in Attorney General Letitia James’ sexual harassment report, filed the complaint during a brief Thursday afternoon meeting with sheriff’s officials, who have since contacted the Albany County District Attorney’s office, Sheriff Craig Apple told The Post.
Apple said it’s possible the governor could be arrested if the allegations are substantiated.
“The end result could either be it sounds substantiated and an arrest is made and it would be up to the DA to prosecute the arrest,” he said.
Americans want to see an equal justice system.
For the last four years, the government targeted Donald Trump and his aides for what many saw as political prosecutions while ignoring crimes committed by his opponents.
An honest and fair investigation into Andrew Cuomo – so his accusers feel justice is done – is all Americans are asking for.
