One angry parent shutdown critical race theory with this question
The fight over critical race theory is emerging as the biggest battleground in American politics.
The corporate media and Democrats are trying to paint anyone opposed to this Marxist ideology as racist.
But one angry parent just shutdown critical race theory with this question.
Videos of parents at school board meetings tearing into critical race theory are going viral across social media.
The latest to stand up as a man was Trey Smith, a radio show host, who appeared at an Illinois school board meeting blasting critical race theory – and the idea that America is systemically racist – as hogwash.
Smith demanded to know why if America is racist that he earned two medical degrees.
“When you talk about Critical Race Theory which is pretty much going to be teaching kids how to hate each other, how to dislike each other. It’s pretty much what it’s all gonna come down to. You’re going to deliberately teach kids ‘this white kid right here got it better than you because he’s white’ and you’re gonna tell a white kid ‘the black people are all down and suppressed,’” Smith fumed. “How do I have two medical degrees if I’m sitting here oppressed?”
Smith eviscerated the central tenets of critical race theory – that America is founded on institutions seeped in white supremacy and that black Americans should view every societal interaction through race – showing them as nothing but lies.
“Not one white person ever came to me and said, ‘Well son, you’re not going to get anywhere,’” Smith added. “Black folks are getting told by other black folks, ‘you’re never going to be able to get out there in the world because white folks are never going to let you get anywhere, the white man is going to keep you down.’”
“How did I get where I am right now if some white man kept me down?” Smith declared.
