No one could believe what Dr. Fauci just said about Donald Trump
Trump supporters believe Dr. Anthony Fauci routinely sabotages the President.
Fauci is always all over the media turning himself into a star by criticizing President Trump.
But no one could believe what Dr. Fauci just said about Donald Trump.
Democrats pounced on quotes from Donald Trump in Bob Woodward’s new book Rage to claim the President misled the country about the threat posed by the coronavirus.
“To be honest with you,” Trump said in a March 19 phone call. “I wanted to always play it down. I still like playing it down, because I don’t want to create a panic.”
The Fake News Media and Democrats alleged Trump knew the virus was far more deadly than known at the time, but did not alert the public.
There is just one problem with that narrative.
Dr. Anthony Fauci – who the media constantly reminds everyone is Washington, D.C.’s great truth teller – said that narrative isn’t true.
“He didn’t really say anything different than he discussed when we were with him,” Dr. Fauci told Fox News Channel’s John Roberts.
Dr. Fauci confirmed President Trump’s version of events, which show that President Trump did not want to cause mass panic while at the same time trying to be as forthcoming as possible.
“Often he would want to, you know, make sure that the country doesn’t get down and out about things, but I don’t recall anything that was any gross distortion in things that I spoke to him about,” Dr. Fauci explained to the Fox News audience.
The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg’s hit piece about Trump imploded days after it dropped.
That led to the fake news switching gears to the Woodward book.
But within hours, Dr. Anthony Fauci debunked the premise of the story.
