Nancy Pelosi sent Democrats this jaw-dropping letter about her future
House Democrats lost big in the election on Tuesday night.
Republicans cut the Democrats’ majority to single digits.
And now Nancy Pelosi sent Democrats this jaw-dropping letter about her future.
Democrats held a post-election conference call with the entire caucus.
It turned heated as members from swing districts complained that socialists like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her fellow “squad” members pushed unpopular policies like “defund the police” and a government takeover of healthcare that allowed Republicans to paint them as radicals.
Others ripped Pelosi for not striking deals with Donald Trump on coronavirus relief.
Speaker Pelosi was responsible for the party’s messaging and strategy in Congressional races.
Some Democrats believed that after this colossal failure it was time for new leadership in the House.
But Pelosi called the rebels’ bluff by releasing a letter on Friday announcing her intention to run for Speaker of the House in the new Congress next January.

Nancy Pelosi has been the Democrats leader since 2002.
Over that time, she has overseen successful elections.
But she is also the only person to be Speaker twice because she got fired in 2010 and then led disastrous efforts in 2014 and 2016 to before winning back a majority in 2018.
No matter what happens in the Presidential election, Democrats in the House will tether themselves to the same leadership, politics, and policy messaging that led to Tuesday’s night humiliation if they re-elect Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House.
