In the book, Whipple recounts how Pelosi visited the White House in May 2024 to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Biden’s frail condition horrified her.
“He was not the same Joe Biden,” Whipple reported Pelosi telling a friend.
Pelosi found Biden’s physical and mental state “awkward, even painful.”
“She couldn’t shake the realization that Joe Biden was a shadow of himself,” Whipple wrote.
Shortly after this event, Wall Street Journal reporters Annie Linskey and Siobhan Hughes wrote a bombshell piece entitled “Behind Closed Doors, Biden Shows Signs of Slipping.”
Linskey and Hughes quoted both Republican and Democrat sources admitting Biden suffered from cognitive decline.
Even though Pelosi privately agreed with the thrust of the article, Pelosi attacked the authors as smear merchants publishing fake news.
“Many of us spent time with @WSJ to share on the record our first-hand experiences with @POTUS, where we see his wisdom, experience, strength and strategic thinking. Instead, the Journal ignored testimony by Democrats, focused on attacks by Republicans and printed a hit piece,” Pelosi wrote on social media.
Pelosi’s worshippers in the press took their cue from their queen and attacked the Wall Street Journal as failing at journalism.
“The Wall Street Journal owes its readers — and the public — better,” CNN’s Oliver Darcy wrote.
But when Joe Biden’s brain turned to apple sauce during the debate with Donald Trump Linskey and Hughes were vindicated and Pelosi was exposed as a co-conspirator to conceal the truth from the American people.
“What we’ve seen in the last few days, is the reporting that we did was vindicated,” Linskey said in an interview with Fox News host Dana Perino.
Linskey and Hughes were among the few mainstream reporters that told the American people the truth about Biden’s decrepit mental state.
And they didn’t go to print unless they knew their reporting was airtight.
“The story was a very difficult story to write,” Linskey added. “We spent months working on it… we had a very high bar.”
Despite previously praising Biden for being sharp as a tack, Pelosi led a coup to oust him as the Democrat nominee for President.
Pelosi knew the American people would never elect someone in Biden’s diminished condition to serve as President until he was 86 years old.
And because Democrats like Pelosi played along with the plot to hide Joe Biden’s mental incompetence from the public, there was no time to hold an actual primary to pick a nominee and Democrats were stuck with Kamala Harris.
