Nancy Pelosi is furious after her latest anti-Trump plan went down in flames
Nancy Pelosi is out for blood.
She wants to destroy President Donald Trump and everybody who supports him.
But now she is furious after her latest anti-Trump plan went down in flames.
Democrats are scrambling to exploit violence at the Capitol to punish President Trump.
Despite the fact that violence came from a very small minority of the over 100,000 Trump supporters at the Capitol, she is blaming Trump and all his supporters.
She never once gave close to the same condemnation when Black Lives Matter and Antifa were wreaking havoc across America, and instead knelt down to them in the Capitol rotunda.
But in this case, she blames the violence on President Trump for his speech that occurred before the violence broke out, despite the fact that Trump specifically called for peaceful protest.
Pelosi has a few tricks up her sleeve.
Her first attempt came through a bill to call on Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office.
Sen. Chuck Schumer egged on the move, stating that it would be the “quickest and most effective way” to remove Trump from office.
But this plan went down in flames when Republican Rep. Alex Mooney objected to the move, which would need to be passed with unanimous consent.
Pelosi then moved on to her next plan.
Before this failure, she threatened impeachment, saying that “she would bring the bill to the floor if the unanimous consent request was blocked.”
Pelosi did just that, and passed the impeachment bill.
But it will do nothing to remove President Trump from office before January 20th.
Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell came out stating that the Senate will not bring it forward, as there would be no time to conduct an impeachment trial.
“Given the rules, procedures, and Senate precedents that govern presidential impeachment trials, there is simply no chance that a fair or serious trial could conclude before President-elect Biden is sworn in next week,” McConnell said.
So they will simply need to wait for inauguration day.
And unless Trump has something nobody knows about up his sleeve, he will leave office.
But for now, Pelosi has lost her last chance to kick Trump out of office.
And without him being fully impeached, Trump could run for office yet again in 2024.
