Mitt Romney made one admission about the Republican Party that had all hell breaking loose

Mitt Romney was the founding father of the Never-Trump political movement.

Romney hoped electing Joe Biden would put the swamp back in charge of the Republican Party.

And now Mitt Romney made one admission about the Republican Party that had all hell breaking loose.

On fake news CNN’s State of the Union Mitt Romney admitted that Donald Trump defeated the George Bush/John McCain GOP establishment and that Trump’s “Make America Great Again” conservatism would dominate the GOP for years to come.

Romney lamented the fact that Republican voters rejected his liberal political views on globalist trade deals as well as his neocon foreign policy.

“The party that I knew was very concerned about Russia and Putin and Kim Jong-un and North Korea and we pushed back aggressively against them. We were a party concerned about balancing the budget. We believed in trade with other nations,” Romney began.

Romney noted that all the big names considering a 2024 political run were looking to shape their agenda in Donald Trump’s image and admitted that liberal Republicans like himself were on the outs.

“We strayed from that. I don’t see us returning to that for a long time,” Romney added.

Much of the debate surrounding the Trump years was shaped by the Fake News Media and elite Republicans around the idea that Donald Trump’s appeal to voters was personality based.

They could not wrap their heads around the idea that Donald Trump campaigned on a substantive agenda based on raising wages for American workers by restricting immigration, putting a stop to endless foreign wars and renegotiating trade deals that shipped good paying jobs to Mexico and China.

In his interview on fake news CNN, Mitt Romney became the most high profile Never-Trumper to embrace this reality.
