Michelle Obama won an award that had Hillary Clinton fuming
Believe it or not, some so-called “experts” are still calling on Hillary Clinton to run in 2020.
But Michelle Obama could put the final nail in that coffin.
And she just won an award that Hillary Clinton thought was hers.
Gallup conducted a poll of Americans to find out who the most admired figures were in 2018.
Michelle Obama received more than triple the votes of Hillary Clinton.
Clinton had previously won the “most admired woman” poll for 17 consecutive years.
For the first time in 17 years, a woman other than Hillary Clinton has been named by Americans as the woman they admire most. Former first lady Michelle Obama, who finished second to Clinton three times and is currently touring to promote her recently released autobiography, won by a significant margin this year. Oprah Winfrey was second, with Clinton and Melania Trump next.
Meanwhile, former President Barack Obama was the winner among men for the 11th consecutive year, including one year as president-elect, eight as president and two as former president. President Donald Trump ranks second for the fourth year in a row.
Most Admired Woman
Angela Merkel …..2%
Ruth Bader Ginsburg…..2%
Most Admired Man
George W. Bush…..2%
Many believe Michelle Obama is the frontrunner to win the Democratic Party’s 2020 presidential nomination.
She just released a book, “Becoming,” and has gone on a nationwide publicity tour.
But as Renewed Right reported, at a recent event she hurled several pot shots at President Trump, a strategy that failed miserably for Hillary Clinton in 2016.
This poll shows Hillary Clinton is yesterday’s news.
The Democrat bench is weak and several candidates including Elizabeth Warren have already torched their chances.
