Michael Avenatti did something so disgusting he could spend the rest of his life in jail
After representing Stormy Daniels to try to take down President Trump, Michael Avenatti’s life has been going downhill.
He has been caught up in countless scandals.
And his latest scandal is so disgusting he could spend the rest of his life in jail.
Michael Avenatti has been skirting the law for some time, with countless allegations of business wrongdoing, and tax fraud.
But so far the allegations against him have been somewhat tame compared to his latest legal trouble.
Last week, Avenatti was reported to the police for attempting to extort millions of dollars from Nike shoe company.
He told Nike executives to pay him over $20 million as “legal work” or he would hold a press conference claiming they were involved in an alleged basketball bribery scandal.
And now he is facing charges stemming from the scandal, along with allegations he committed wire and bank fraud by using his client’s money to pay for his personal expenses.
The bank and wire fraud charges could carry a sentence of 50 years in prison on their own, meaning that the 49 year-old lawyer could spend the rest of his life behind bars.
And along with Avenatti, CNN analyst Mark Geragos could be in trouble too.
The CNN analyst is being listed as a co-conspirator in the federal indictment handed down over the Avenatti allegations.
As reported by the Daily Caller:
Celebrity attorney and CNN analyst Mark Geragos is the co-conspirator cited in a federal indictment handed down Monday against attorney Michael Avenatti, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Authorities indicted and arrested Avenatti Monday in New York on charges of wire fraud, bank fraud and attempting to extort $20 million from Nike Inc. Avenatti threatened to publicly disparage Nike if the company did not pay him millions of dollars, according to the indictment.
This seems to be the final nail in the coffin for Avenatti, who has been a major figure in the anti-Trump resistance since his decision to represent Stormy Daniels.
And now Daniels is even speaking out against Avenatti, alleging his shady behavior is the reason she dropped him as a lawyer.
