John McCain got caught red-handed pushing the fake Russia dossier
Democrats were giddy when a dossier was released which supposedly showed then-candidate Donald Trump colluded with Russia.
But their “bombshell” blew up in their face when it was proven to be fake news.
Now Senator John McCain was caught peddling the dossier in attempt to undermine Trump’s presidency.
Former State Department official and McCain associate David Kramer was sent to London to get his hands on the Christopher Steele’s dossier.
The Washington Examiner reports:
House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes has issued a subpoena to David Kramer, a former State Department official who, in late November 2016, traveled to London to receive a briefing and a copy of the Trump dossier from its author, former British spy Christopher Steele. Kramer then returned to the U.S. to give the document to Sen. John McCain.
Kramer is a senior fellow at the McCain Institute for International Leadership at Arizona State University.
McCain later took a copy of the dossier to the FBI’s then-director, James Comey. But the FBI already had the document; Steele himself gave the dossier to the bureau in installments, reportedly beginning in early July 2016.
Senator McCain has refused to come clean with his role in spreading the fake news dossier.
The subpoena is a follow up on statements Kramer made during a December 19 interview with the House Intelligence Committee.
During the interview, Kramer let it slip that he knew the identities of the Russian sources who were cited in the dossier.
But when pressed, Kramer refused to name names.
If the House Committee can reveal the identities, we can then verify the credibility of the allegations against Trump – and put the final nail in the coffin of the Russia collusion fake news conspiracy.
